((Hugs)) love. I know everything is scary now, but remember you are in great hands. Small comfort, I know. I wish I had better words to say, but this board is amazing. Lean on these ladies, they are amazing.
Hugs to you, momma. I know that you are scared, but he will be in the best hands. I know that's been said, but I can't reiterate enough how wonderful the NICU nurses and doctors are. They will take good care of him and you! Ask any and all questions. You need to make sure that you take care of yourself, too. That's extremely important. Please keep us updated. I'll be thinking of you and hoping for a smooth delivery.
Thinking of you! Your baby is measuring about where mine was at 32 weeks, 6 days, when she was born. Those steroid shots make a world of a difference, it sounds like you have been there long enough to get at least two? I'm glad they are monitoring you closely.
He is so cute @sarahwithanh!! Hope you have a smooth recovery and the quickest amount of NICU time possible! Hang in there; I know the beginning is hard. We are all thinking of you!
Congrats on your baby! Having a baby in the NICU is an incredibly hard journey, but you will get through this. Just take it one day at a time. Best of luck to you and your baby.
He is precious. Huge congrats to you, momma! It sounds like things are going relatively well. There will definitely be good days and bad days. Focus on the positives, which you have been doing a great job of. He will come home when he's ready. I hope your recovery is going well and that you are taking good care of yourself, too.
Hope all is going well! The crying at night is the worst when you want the baby to be with you, but know they are where they should be. Everything the drs say about one day it just "clicks" is absolutely true! Keep your head up, hope all is well!
This makes me so happy to hear!! I'm sorry things have been crazy, but I'm glad to hear he is still fighting and getting stronger. Hoping you get a surgery date soon, and M is even closer to going home. I think of y'all often.
Surgery is set for Wednesday. His main nurse said to hope for being home before Christmas maybe by the time he is 2 months old (December 13th). I was really hoping we had survived more than half of this.
I will be saying a prayer for M on Wednesday. I hope he has a successful surgery and is home sooner than you think. Do you think that Dec 13th is realistic or was the nurse just overestimating so that you don't get your hopes up? I know the nicu nurses always told me to expect my 32 weeker home by his due date, but he was home around 37 weeks g.a.
What's the recovery on the surgery going to look like?
