Morning I may go down and surprise my mom with a visit. I am supposed to have a phone interview type thing with unemployment. Will see how that goes but that is this morning.
We traveled to DC with no pacifier (had it in my purse just in case). She was quiet the hold ride! Progress. As long as I hide the pacifier in the morning, we're good. If she spots it, ABORT MISSION.
So, normally, N goes to bed at 7 and has worked great for a looong time. Lately, though, she doesn't seem ready at 7 anymore. Is this the case for anyone else? When do kids start going to bed a little later? I feel like it's too soon for that? Perhaps I need to do some research. Or maybe she's just fighting me because she can. Who knows!
Not much else going on. Work eat sleep. Need to finish my coffee. My brain feels mushy.
malvo, it's awful. We drove to Lancaster a couple weekends ago for a wedding. Normally, we would plan a drive like that for nap time so she slept most of the way, but we'd be 3 hours early.. so... screaming for 90 minutes. It was wonderful! When she can forward face, I'm sure it'll be easier.. but I wasn't planning on doing that until absolutely necessary. Sigh..
ladymike we've been trying to put f down a little later lately. Really, I've done it in hopes she'll sttn because we still aren't doing that over here ::grumbles:: it used to be 7-7:20 and now more toward 8.
ladymike we have been starting bedtime at 8. Lately she isn't falling asleep until 9 or later. She isn't getting up at 5 right now either so that is probably helping.
rvamama, I do find that if she's not ready or it's too early, she'll have a weird early morning wake up. FX F starts sleeping through the night!
flat0422, I did just read that kids this age are still very flexible and it's more important to follow their lead based on their naps, activity, etc. vs. trying to instill a specific bedtime. That will work better when they are older. Buh.. but.. I LOVE ROUTINES. Haha!
@megaugust10 sorry lady. That sucks. flat0422 fanceh donuts sound yummy! Also, what about bringing a pretty mum along with you? They're in season and could dress up her new doorway!
We had a rougher night. R has a cold and was up from 9/1230 am and then slept off and on from 1230/6am. H helped out a lot but I still only got like a 4 hour chunk..
We took A to Carter's to get some PJ's last night and then went to the Halloween store because it was in the same complex. We wanted to look for costume ideas and a few more decorations.
If you saw my FB video, she loves the ghost we have. So I didn't think she would be freaked out, but thought some things might make her nervous. Nope. She loved all of it. Just walked around saying "wooooooww" and waving to everything or trying to pick them up. So funny.

Re: bedtime. Jo has pushed her bedtime to closer to 7. She used to be between 6-6:30. But a lot depends on how tired she is. I don't think she's ever been up past 8 lol.
@megaugust10 I'm sorry about the job. I'm sure you will land something soon.

My kid learned another word. Butt-butt. As in, "Jo, let's change your diaper because your butt-butt is dirty." She points at her ass and says butt-butt.
flat0422, yay for healthy babe! My 12 week appt is Oct 28!
So exciting! How've you been feeling?!
A little tired but very similar to my pregnancy w the boys. No morning sickness and generally just feeling not pregnant..which is unnerving at times and also nice
I'm so busy. Like i feel as if I'm constantly doing something. Ugh. I guess there's no rest for the wicked, but I can't wait until we at least get to sleeping through the night. I managed to get to the store today and I'm hoping to get more inventory pictures up. As some of you noticed, I've defaulted to live sales to limit the necessity of taking pictures. Haha. But I'm such a hot mess.

I don't know how you guys do flexible bedtimes.... some days I literally countdown the time until 7pm. No matter what we try to keep D to his 7pm bedtime, even if he chit chats to his toys for 45 minutes. I need that time to decompress!
Other than that, I went and saw the girl on the train last night with my best friend. It was good! But I liked the book more. I even managed to say no to popcorn
maddisonrose, I'm on your team. I'm like, 6:55.. 6:56.. haha! I think that's why it's bothering me so much... if she goes to bed any later, it cuts into MY TIME. Ha!
Friends. Hope you've been doing well and that the babies are taking it easy on you all. I'm so glad to be home. We got in super late last night after a rough drive home. V is cutting three teeth at once, and as she does when she's teething, she was a crazy poop machine. Add to that being in maybe just a squinch too small sized diaper, and we had 4... Count them, FOUR... full blowouts on the drive home. Awful. The trip took much longer than we expected and all those stops didn't help. Kids were up super late BUT my bed felt amazing once I was finally in it! I'm hosting my sister's bridal shower this Saturday and while my house is pretty much clean and ready I feel like I have a ton to do. Feeling like a trip to hobby lobby is happening this afternoon to find more cute stuff! Edited to add, I'm also team strict bedtime. Unless we are out and about, Vi is in bed by 7:15 at the latest every night.
I received an email from another company (that I really want to work at) that they want to do a phone interview with me. So things are looking up again. I think this company as well could really help me loose weight.
