I hope it goes smoothly annapunkalunka! PP hormones are no joke - I've improved since LO was born, but I still randomly burst into tears.
DH is at work & DD is at daycare, so it's just LO & me today. Our exciting plans include a trip to the drug store, a walk with our pup, and maybe some cooking and clothes organizing.
R pooped three times last night. Each one timed to wake me up just as I fell asleep
I'm getting a pedicure today and my MIL is watching the boys. I'm excited because right now I have hobbit feet. I need a little pampering. Might grab a coffee or lunch afterwards.
DD1 was up for almost 2 hours overnight, whining that her butt hurt. We changed her pull up, used Destin and gave her Tylenol but it took forever. The baby slept fine.
Now it's 9am and DD1 is still sleeping. I might wake her up, I want a Starbucks run badly when I take her into daycare.
@snuff9861 you had pitocin and no epidural?! Ouch! I barely made it I was at an 7 and then quickly progressed to a 10. I was already going through transition and that was rough!!
So apparently baby girl just has blocked tear ducts. I can't believe how bad that can make their eyes look! I'm relieved she doesn't need to be on meds at such a young age though.
@snuff9861, don't you find recovery easier though? I've had both and I had pitocin induced labour the 1st time, I would not have done it without the epidural. I'm amazed that you did! Kudos mama.
We're probably going to see the Girl on the Train this afternoon at the stars and strollers showing. They had free Timbits last time...

I'll let you know lol. No pitocen needed for me (wait for my birth story ) but I did not want to do it med free. Unfortunately there was no time for the epidural to be placed. Baby girl wanted out in a hurry.
I'm sitting waiting for my midwife at my 6 week pp appointment. I will not cry. I will not cry. I will not cry.
Cry if you need to girl. I'm sure they've seen it all and the important thing is to be honest with them about how you're feeling.
No lie. My LC gave me a hug when I burst into tears talking about my frustration with breastfeeding. One of my OB's nurses talked to me for about 10 minutes about how I was doing a great job and that this stage is hard when I was all teary at K's appointment.

@snuff9861, as someone who also did pitocin and no pain meds, ditto to this. Way to go girl!

Are her eyes all gunky? K had some issues early on with one of her eyes being a little swollen, and now that same eye gets really gunky when she sleeps or has been crying.

I ended up not needing the pitocen (thank goodness).
I know there were a couple of you that were going to try the belly bandit ( watermelonseed, I think highly recommended it if I remember correctly). Just wondering how that was going for those of you that are using it.
I started wearing mine the evening we were discharged but I don't wear around the clock like they recommend.
Yes I did! So awesome. That's when I started too. I wore it mostly in the day time or when I thought it would be feel better. I think I wore it for maybe 10 days after discharge gradually reducing time day by day.

SO junky yesterday I freaked out and took her to Dr immediately. It was disgusting. Today after using breastmilk and massage they look so much better.
It definitely needs a little added salt/seasoning. You can season the turkey when you brown it or season the whole thing before turning on the crockpot.
Gave DS2 a bath this morning, then he spits up all down his shirt and just had a blowout. So not only is he no longer nice and fresh clean, he is on his third outfit. 😡

Congrats watermelonseed! When will you be starting a new job?
I'm feeling better about our rough night since E just went down for a nap in her crib where she started out semi-awake. I just had to recite "are you my mother" to her 25 times and she was out completely. It's been about an hour so I'm calling that the major success of my week! If only I could get her to stay asleep after nursing at night instead of waking 20 minutes later this would all be so much easier!

Well, I didn't cry! But we still decided to try a low dose Med for a month to see if it makes any difference. Fingers crossed it makes me feel more like myself. I've been so blah about everything. No motivation, desire, excitement. No fun.
Also got my Mirena today. Ouch. Didn't particularly enjoy it, by it's there and I don't have to worry about babies.
We brought C in to the doc to get her throat checked. She's got white splotches and it's really red and inflamed. They swabbed her throat and she was negative for strep, thankfully. She's home from daycare today but I can guarantee she's going on Friday!

I mentioned it at her 2 week appointment. The gunk wasn't as bad then, but combined with her earlier swelling I was a little worried. Glad I did, cause now that the gunk is insane I know what to watch for to make sure it's not an eye infection.
