annbuhdan maybe treat yourself to a mani if you can get someone to watch LO? Nail techs are used to seeing bitten up cuticles - maybe it would be a nice pamper thing for yourself!
I'm a nail picker too! Regular manicures are my solution.

My mom is normally not super helpful. Like I can't ask her for favors normally.
Decorating and hosting things are her love language. I'm hosting bunco tonight (just went back to work yesterday!) and had it under control until four extra people rsvped yes yesterday.
Mom just came over with extra dessert (accompanied by a fall plate to serve it) and everything I need to make croc pot meatballs:)
Do you have a favorite bottle? Favorite paci? What brand and why?
I like Dr. Browns bottles. They have extra parts to wash, but I think they help with gas. I just put mine in the dishwasher so it's not too bad to wash them.
She currently uses soothies for pacifiers but I am going to try to switch her to a different brand.

E has suddenly started rejecting the Soothies, so I was trying to figure out if it's the brand or just pacifiers in general! Maybe I'll just try some different kinds.

Joovy Boob glass bottles. I got a ridiculously good deal on them at babies r us and love them. I feel like the glass is easier to clean and doesn't absorb smells. We use the soothie paci. I like the vanilla scented ones but his fave is the dinosaur wubbanub. He likes to hold on to it.

I love the Philips Avent Classic bottles. DS's gas and spitting up problems seemed to get a little better after switching to them. I also love the Wubbanub (it has a Soothie pacifier) because DS loves to grab onto the animal at the end with both hands and play with it. He has a few Gumdrop pacifiers that he had in NICU that he likes, but really he's taken every pacifier I've tried. So he's not terribly picky.

Ds1 took avent natural. We tried them for a month with ds2, but he spilled so so much. He uses Mam brand now and does a lot better. His latch is not great, but these nipples have a different, flat-ish shape. He also uses mam pacifiers. The bottles are annoying because there are so many parts, but I just use a special basket for the top rack of the dishwasher. We tried dr browns but he spilled a ton with those too.

We have had a couple busy weeks here! Ds1 now has the cold that I had like 3 weeks ago. DH had it last week. Talk about a long incubation!
This coming weekend dh and I are flying a good friend's wedding. I am super excited for a weekend away, but it's starting to set in that I'll be away from both kids for the whole weekend. I know ds1 will be fine since we've done short weekends away before, but I really hope everything goes ok with the baby. I hope he's not super cranky and sleeps ok for my parents.

We use the tom.mee tipp.ee bottles and have liked them so far. Like others have said we use the soothie pacifiers. We have a lamb and a duck wub.unub that I like.
Me (30) MH (32) Dx: MFI (low all the things) M. 10/11. TTC Since 01/14 IUI#1-3(Letrozole + Trigger) = BFN Second Opinion. Changed RE's. IVF 09/15 Long Lupron 12R/9M/8F, Transferred 1=BFN. 4 frosties. FET #1 12/15 Transferred 1 (3 still on ice)

We like Comotomo. We ended up with them because DS refused a bunch of others. The bottles are squishy so and I think the idea is you can squeeze to stimulate the forceful flow of letdown. Hopefully DD likes them because they are pricey. MAM pacifiers are a hit around here. My babies prefer the flat nipple.

Comotomo bottles, because we'd get a lot of leaking out of the side of her mouth with all the other ones we tried. My other 2 used Tommee Tippee without problems. Generally baby girl gets super gaggy if you give her a paci (which MIL cannot believe. To the point that my 6 year old was like, "hey! She doesn't like that!"). Annnnnyway, she will occasionally take a Mam paci. My oldest would take whatever you'd give her, but upside down, and DS would never take one.

Woohoo!
We went for a weight check today. E gained 5 ounces in 5 days! That's the most he's ever gained in that period of time. I feel like I have my answer. EP it is. Side note: I love the pediatrician. He was so lovely and supportive this entire time, and I feel like he's really spent a lot of time trying to help me, not just E. He spent a while today trying to help me feel ok with this decision.

We use Dr. Browns bottles with preemie nipples - everything else was too fast for DS. As for pacifiers, we use both soothies and nuks, but DS doesn't love either. He has to be in exactly the right mood for a paci, or he gets PISSED if we try to give him one. Even if he starts falling asleep with one in his mouth he will (forcefully) spit it out before he is fully asleep. It's hilarious - I know we're close to sleep if he has expelled the paci...

I just tried the Dr Browns and the poor kid was choking! Gotta find a slower nipple
B was super whiney today. Then SD came home and those two were fighting while I was making dinner. So I did what any sane person would do- whipped up some cheesecake mix, put it in a pastry bag, and squeezed it right into my mouth.
I also squeezed some into strawberries, but more importantly my mouth lol

We are the same! Dr. Brown's bottles with preemie nipples. I think the Soothies stay in better, but H gives her the Nuks.

I read online somewhere that the Dr Brown nipples are a little faster than the norm. We are using the extra slow preemie nipple.

So G has suddenly become terrified of her own startle reflex. If she is laying on her back and something startles her (a sneeze, for example) she gets this wide eyed look of panic and starts screaming hysterically. It takes anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour to calm her down and is really not fun. Any suggestions? We can't keep her swaddled all day and I don't know how else to avoid her startling.
