Anyone been doing any projects lately? For Halloween or otherwise?
I have been on a binge again...
I made a cart/restaurant high chair cover (I might have shared this already, I don't remember):
Then some scrap fabric headbands:
Not sure about the second one for a baby, but I think I will make myself one like that. I got some more fabric to do Halloween costumes and some other projects, more headbands (LO didn't own any), and also some shadow boxes to do a flower think for LO's room (the last piece and then I will count it finished)
I forgot to take pics but I made a baby gift sets for our gift exchange and an IRL friend with a blanket, burp cloths and a bib.
I'm knitting a little during my lunch and pumping breaks and I'm making costumes for my daughters gymnastics team they have a meet this weekend that they need costumes for. They have blue leos so they're going to be smurfs. I made hats and tails. I'll post pics when I can. Didn't even bother sewing, just used hot glue gun.

So for the sewing mommas, I asked my mom for a sewing machine for Xmas. What other tools, etc should I ask for/buy myself?
"Big" things: Fabric scissors, roto cutter, cutting mat, measurer ruler thing for cutting, you might want a walking foot if your machine didn't come with one.
Plus pins, safety pins, elastic, thread, a few extra needles, a more heavy duty needle for thicker stuff, extra bobbins

I'm crocheting dragon wings for my costume since I couldn't find any that didn't look cheap or weren't crazy expensive. I'll post pics when I've got one of them done.

Since I've been just learning to sew, I made some "unpaper towels" (napkins) to use instead of paper towels. Definitely good practice and I am impressed at how well they clean. I'm slowly trying to move up to clothes. This week will be a headband, hopefully next a pair of baby leggings

I finished it all. I practically neglected my family for the past week but all of our costumes are done. I'll post a pic of my completed costume tomorrow, but for now here is a pic of one of the wings.
I have been going nuts lately. I am obsessed with that shoe pattern, LO now has 3 pairs, these have felt on the bottom but I just bought leather and canvas to try and make some better outside ones, like diy off roobiez. Also been coordinating bandana bibs, shoes and bows. Lol.

jewel441 Love the shoes! I ordered a pair of Robeez off Baby Steals and they are big even though I got the accurate size.... I want something for her to wear now.

They are surprisingly easy to make! I am attempting a next pair a touch bigger since I already made 3 in this size, so we'll see how that goes.
Ok last one for awhile bc I will be away from my machine for the next 8 days. Made this last night for LO to play on during the plane. Inspired by sunshineshades
