Despite some horrible congestion, E slept well (probably because I put him in the RNP, but whatever). We've got to go to the grocery store, otherwise no plans for today!

D was up for 1.5 hours in the MOTN for the 2nd day in a row. Last night included a really fun bout of him projectile vomiting all of his feeding down the front of my nursing tank at 3 am. Blah.
I have coffee and am about to get breakfast. No big plans today, I need to tackle the mountain of laundry resulting from the camping trip DH & the big kids did this weekend. I really want to make a couple of apple pies but don't know if that's in the cards today.
merryrissmas, sorry about the vomit I hope the coffee is helping.
DD was up 4 times last night, every 2 hours and was fussing in between. She had a huge poop this morning so I'm guessing she was up trying to work that out. We are going to bring DH lunch at work today so she can meet his coworkers.
Side note, DD's umbilical stump fell off after a couple of weeks but there was a little residue in her belly button. It is still there so we have been giving her sponge baths still. It is a tiny amount. Do you guys think it's safe to give her a regular tub and hope it just comes off?
Me: 28, all tests normal DH: 34, very low count, motility, morphology DX - MFI 11/14/09 - Married 01/01/14 - TTC #1 01/06/15 - Started working with RE 04/06/15 - Recommendation - straight to IVF w/ICSI 09/04/15 - Started working with new RE Nov/Dec 15 - IVF w/ ICSI #1 - 11R/8F - 1 transferred, 3 frozen

We've been giving regular baths since birth.
We were told to stick with sponge baths until the stump came off because moisture can create an infection. The stump came off in pieces and there is still a couple of pieces the size of a poppy seed in her belly button. I just don't want to create an infection by getting it wet.

Interesting different rules for different practices. The MW told us go ahead abd give regular baths just make sure its really good and dry before getting her dressed.

I had been told the same and stuck with sponge baths way longer than I probably needed to. R's fell off a bit earlier than U think it was really ready to so there were spots of blood once in a while - we stuck with sponge baths until that stopped.
rufus426 my LO had some residue on her belly button after the stump fell off. I started giving her baths and just made sure to dry it well. They residue slowly came off a week or two later.
Good morning everyone! It's cold here today! Had a nice walk this morning and now just drinking some coffee while the baby works on a poop. It's a very glamorous life.

Morning! We had a fun weekend. We took DS to Boo at the zoo while my parents watched DD. He really enjoyed the time with just us and E was great for my parents! She slept 3 nights in a row for 5:30 hours now she is back to 3:30-4 hours at night.
I've got a to-do list a mile long & DH will be home in a couple hours, so I told him he needs to help me tackle some stuff, especially if LO continues to be cranky (I just had to cut our walk short because LO was flipping out despite eating right before we left & having a fresh diaper). DD also had a rough morning - she woke up while LO was eating, so DH helped get her ready for daycare. All I heard while sitting in the nursery was DD crying & DH snapping at her. Then he wouldn't let her come say goodbye to me & LO because she wasn't being cooperative. I didn't find that out until he got back from dropping her off & I expressed my displeasure at him using access to me as a punishment. I really need him to figure out how to deal with DD.
DS had an audiology appt this morning so DH is home until lunch time. Everything looks good with his hearing. It's part of his speech therapy (we were worried that he was delayed). He appears to just be a late talker.
DD appears to be doing well on donor milk and formula. Pooping has increased a bit. She has her next weight check on Thursday.

rufus426, we have the same issue, but the pedi at his 2 week check said a real bath is fine and just to watch for any signs of infection until the residue is fully healed.
caz1221 I'm really sorry for the rough morning! I have to say that I feel for you regarding your DH and your older DD. My DH also has very limited patience for the toddler's behavior even though he is not with her most of the day. I've been sending him some articles so he can help to understand what is going on with her developmentally and trying to encourage him to not be so rigid and to be more empathetic to the adjustments she is going through. It's really hard to want the help from DH but then to be frustrated with how he is doing it.

I'm sick, DD1 is sick, DS is sick... happy Monday. I want a nap but Abby won't let me
And, Halloween is a week away, and I haven't gotten Abby a costume yet. I have no idea what to get her or where to go (and I probably won't go until this weekend so I can go solo while DH stays with the kids).

Same here. My MW said it was fine to do so. Maybe we have different guidelines in Canada...

I haven't gotten R a costume either. Carter's was out. Target didn't have anything. Most stuff on Amazon seems to have 0-6 months as the smallest size and that seems like it would be huge on him.

I was going to go to the Goodwill to pick something up, but I haven't, and I was sick all weekend so I had no desire to go look.
I wasn't going to get N a costume because there doesn't seem to be anything made in a newborn or 0-3 month size. I don't wanna spend a ton of money on a costume that she's gonna swim in. But my best friend made me feel kinda bad because "it's her first Halloween!!!" I guess I still have a little time to throw something together...
Yea, I have a My First Halloween onesie at least, but if I could find a cheap, cute costume that fit him I was going to buy it. We're just staying home passing out candy to the 10 trick or treaters we'll get so we don't really NEED a costume this year. I figured it would just make for cute pictures if I could find something.

We have pumpkin pjs for E to wear for Halloween. She wore it to Boo at the Zoo over the weekend already. Bonus - I didn't have to change her clothes when we got home :-) I'm not a huge fan of Halloween so I don't really care about the costumes. DS is batman this year in a pair of batman pajamas that he can wear again as well. Honestly, I'm not looking forward to Halloween and having to sit out for trick or treaters all night.
