I just found oatmeal in the microwave. DH made it for me this morning and forgot to tell me. It's been there for 3 hours. Apparently sleep doesn't help everyone! Haha
Anyone still using the swing for lo? I mentioned before that we barrowed ours so we don't have it anymore as of last weekend. Lo will not stay asleep for naps unless it's in the car or attached to my boob. I'm seriously thinking about butting one used even if we use it for just a couple more months..
MH got tired of ours taking up space and moved it to the basement. We really weren't using it much anymore, but I do miss it for times when I'm putting my toddler to bed and need to put her somewhere.
Hiring. We would want the shower to have the fake marble removed and tiled. New shower door. Also, have the tub area matched. Not sure if we can keep the tub. Then, put in new vanity top with sinks.
Mirror, lights, floor tile, cabinets, faucets are all good.
We need to do this too. We have a crack in the floor inside and outside the shower. I don't care for the tile (typical builder grade white tile from the early 2000's) but I don't want to spend a ton. Do you think it'd be wrong to have someone come out and give us multiple estimates? Like, how much to just fix the crack. How much to replace all the tile. And then the big, how much to do everything--new vanity, countertop, mirror, light, floor, etc.
It'd kind of be nice to budget for the various scenarios. And dream of winning the lottery so I can do everything.
I think this is pretty standard to have someone give you an itemized quote. They should understand you might only have budget to do certain parts of a project.

Yes, we use it occasionally when she's tired and I want her to chill or take a short snooze. She's starting to sit up in it, though, so I don't think we'll be using it too much longer.
I just read 2 different posts about an 8 month sleep regression and I'm over here like - aren't we still in the 4 month regression?? Maybe we'll get a couple of good night's sleep in the next month.
I went home from work sick yesterday after throwing up in the bathroom. This morning my husband was up feeding the baby and he said he projectile vomited. I didn't see it happen but my husband said it was more than just spitting up. Should I take him to the ped? Or just kinda monitor him for a bit? Not sure what they can even do for throwing up?

They may be able to test him for flu. Never hurts to call and ask
renbee, there's not much they can do for a stomach virus. They would probably tell you to continue to offer bottles and watch for signs of dehydration, which abbeyd covered. Hopefully, it's a quick virus. I hope you're feeling better, too!
ry had the stomach but at 4 months and he threw up all day long but still would nurse... i just let him nurse so that he would hopefully get something and it only lasted 24 hours
So, yeah. Really like the house. It needs new paint and a refresh of the woodwork, but it is great. The layout turned out to be nice. Positives - extra bedroom for guests or future kid and awesome bonus room. It is much bigger than our house.
Do we move? Eck.
As someone in the middle of moving I will say... It's a lot of stress. I know you have a lot of other stressors in your life right now.
But, if it will be a great fit for your family then I would go for it! The stress us only temporary and then you have an awesome new home!
buttercup, good luck! I hope it sells quickly and isn't stressful.
We aren't moving from our current home anytime soon but we still rent out our old townhouse. I keep hoping the renter will call saying she's moving out so that we can sell it. The market is so good here right now that it just seems like a perfect time.
I have the opposite problem! I'm praying that my renter will stay for a couple more years because I can't sell yet. Condo market in the western Chicago burbs still sucks.
My MIL posted an LED Death Star lamp to my Facebook wall asking if it would be good for a Santa list. I have no idea if she's joking or not, but bitch, do not. Where the hell am I going to put it? Half my house is already a tribute to Star Wars and comic books. I don't need an ugly ass LED lamp to add to the collection.
Sounds like my MIL. She bought my H 10 boxes of Star Wars cereal as collector items....not sure if she was being serious or not but, yeah we have 10 boxes in MH's office right now.
My husband is a history teacher and my mil keeps buying him collectors sets of president pez dispensers. No lie, a pez dispensers of Millard filmore. Wtf? Are we supposed to display these thing in our home?
We contacted a realtor and meeting with him tomorrow. He sold a cousin's house in a week for a good price.
Are we really doing this?
I still feel this way and we close next week!
I don't know about where your are, but the market near us is crazy, especially in our price range. We sold our house in 24 hours and had two offers! Plus we got an amazing mortgage rate on our new house - 3.55%. It was just too good of a time to sell/buy for us to pass up!
Hi! Thanks for thinking about me. Sorry I haven't been around lately. I get behind trying to keep up with 2 boards and then feel weird just jumping back in.
Life is good. I say that now, but I plan to start potty training the toddler tomorrow so I will probably be changing my tune soon. A is rolling when she feels like it and working on sitting by herself. We've started BLW as she's just not a fan of purees and she seems to be enjoying it a lot.
M was up every hour last night. We were doing so well this week too. He just wants to eat all day and night. I keep telling myself this will pass and it will get better, but it's just so exhausting.
I lost my phone this morning and I realized what a security blanket it is.
And our house is going to be on the market this week. Moving will be a good thing, but I have all these feels about it. Like, this is our first house. What if we don't find a house. Etc. Need to take it one step at a time.
Congrats on moving forward! I totally understand the feels of moving out of your first house where you brought your babies home. It's going to be really hard for me to leave!
I went before work today and got to browse all the halloween clearance stuff. They even had finding dory and mickey books 90% off so they were 10 cents! I even found halloween band-aids, wash cloths, cups and coloring kits for dirt cheap. I'm going to use them for stocking stuffers. And most importantly I was able to try on pants...alone!!!
I got a ton of stuff yesterday too! Target gets way too much of my money. It's about 2 minutes from my office so I go there during lunch at least twice a week.
