Well, she made it 65 minutes before she was a crying mess, so I nursed her and she's out. In the living room no less. Maybe only some naps should be pushed to 90 min. I don't think she's ready for all of them to be that far apart.
Pet peeve of the day. We've lived here four years and he still can't tell the difference between the oven preheating and the stupid timer. He asks me every time. "Was that the preheat or timer?"
It's really very easy to tell. If you actually are waiting for he oven to preheat before you put your food in then obviously it's the preheat. If you're lazy like we are most of the time, it beeps once for preheat or obnoxiously continues beeping if it's the timer

Aw, poor girl! Obviously, you know your baby best so don't worry about listening to all our advice. One thing I did read though was that sometimes the first and last wake times of the day can be shorter, meaning she goes down after an hour for her first nap of the day and bedtime and the other ones are longer. That being said, we always just watch for tired cues and if he's cranky before the 90 mins we definitely put him down. I hope she had a good long nap!

It was about 45 minutes. So pretty decent! Now we're waiting on my clinician to get here and we're going to go for a walk in my new wrap! I am so in love with this size 5 that I got. So much easier to deal with!

This is true for my lo. He is ready for a nap not long after he wakes up in the morning.

Ooh! I love new wraps. I'm trying to destash as I have too many right now. Is 5 a base-1 or -2 for you? I love a base-2. So much less to have to work with.

I am in love with all my DC Mamas. Like. I want them all to be my friends. (Which I know could be dangerous) Anyway, I especially like my newest one. She was a L&D nurse at the hospital where I delivered and either she looked me up or she remembers us. I'm going with remembers bc she remembered seeing H do skin to skin with baby I after delivery and I don't think that was in my chart haha. It's really fun chatting with her about the unit and about birth in general.
snoris that's good that you like them!!! It totally sucks when your have crazy parents 😳 we have one at the DC and it's a nightmare ... the mom is fine the Dad comes unhinged over everything!

I'm beginning to think that we'll end up needing to do BLW. Like what we're eating exactly. Every time I give cam something different, A insists on that too and won eat what's for the meal. 🙄
I recently came across a few cool ideas I want to do for baby I and thought I'd share.
First - a time capsule! This was presented as an idea for a first birthday, to have everyone who attends the party write a hand written sentiment to be opened on their 18th birthday. Also could include a few keepsakes from when their first year.
Next - I'm a fan of teaching charity and love when I see kids doing stuff like - in lieu of birthday presents please bring something from this list and the child gets to bring a box to the spca or nursing home or whatever. Anyway, I've never heard of "operation Christmas" until recently. I love that baby I could fill a shoebox with gifts for a boy his age and have it sent for Christmas. We always try to find a way to give even when we don't have much so it's neat to pick little ways for baby I to get in on the fun.
Do you do anything like this? Are you starting any new traditions? I'm about to fall down a Pinterest clickhole looking for ideas!
My friend IRL was like "you have to join this Moms forum...(not TCF)" so I check it out. Blech!!! Have you ladies seen what else is out there? You all are class acts compared to what I'm reading. It's TCF for me!
I'm here! Just not sure what to post. I'm dreading tomorrow. 7:30-12:30 is a normal school day, then we have early dismissal and parent teacher conferences from 2-8pm. Ugh.
So, I need to learn how to quote and tag and keep up throughout the day! Is there some kind of user guide somewhere?! Seriously, I'm not that old... I'm gonna try my best here:
My massage was enjoyable, but my back is still achy and tingly 😕 I guess I was unrealistically hoping it would be the magical cure - silly me! Nothing is that easy!
So crazy all the different temperatures across the board! I would love for it to be warmer still! It was in the 30s here this morning too. It got into the 50s today, which is still a bit chilly for my liking, but it was beautifully sunny. So that helps Whoever was talking about s-n-o-w - Nooooooo! Please don't say it!! Ugh. I hate snow. We get too much of it.
For naps, DS goes about two hours between naps. We definitely follow his lead - when he starts getting fussy (and doesn't need to eat, burp or fart ) then it's probably nap time!
DS is sleeping and MH and I are about to get into some ice cream. Oh yeah! My JAM!
Heeeeeeyyyyy, jumping in again bc....work! @led, I saw your posts on sleep I'm sorry it's been rough. You are an amazing mom. snoris, we will be doing some "giving back" as well. Likely during and not during holidays and also in ways like visiting sick kids in a hospital to bring crafts/activities or something like habitat for humanity. TBD in the future. I will also likely task the kids with finding something they would like to do so they have even more ownership of it!
It's 8:30pm. I am going to finish up in the kitche, pump and have goal of being asleep by 9;30pm.
Lastly, I am LOVING the cuteness of DS1 lately. His top priority is to give DS2 a hello kiss and hug when we get home and he will NOT go to bed w/o saying goodnight to his baby brother.

I really want to get into some traditions too snoris but I don't know what exactly I want us to do!
So DS put himself to bed tonight and self soothed himself! I'm so proud this it one of the first times he's done that! The problem? I'm pretty sure he need his diaper changed.... I should probably just wait until he wakes up though huh?
