Hello. Costco run today and then work. H and I are in the process of getting all of our financial stuff to a lender to see if we can afford a bigger home. We need 4 bedrooms and an office for H. My how much things have changed since we bought this house 3 years ago.
We want to keep this house and rent it out..any landlords out there? Advice?
ladymike, thanks for the heads up about coats. I don't have one for LG. I have been quiet the past few days because we've been dealing with some crappy news. I won't go into all of it but my H will be without a job very soon. He has a temporary job he can go to but his pay will be cut in half. I've spent days worrying about finances. We'll be ok but it took lots of convincing. I'm feeling much better about life today. I had my evaluation at work yesterday and got great comments. I feel like I've let work take second, third or fourth place to everything else but my boss is happy with the work I have done so that's a plus.

We rent our old house. We pay a realtor 10% to manage it. She finds a renter, shows them the house, she's the point of contact for issues, she cuts the rent check to us. We don't really have to interact at all with the renter or ever go there. She notifies us if something needs fixed, has a contractor that she sends or helps us to hire someone to get it done. We just pay the bill.
But, of course, this cuts into any "profit".. which, we do not profit on ours because we really just need the mortgage paid and are hoping someone wants to buy the damn thing before the world ends. Haha.
ladymike i found snow pants at a consignment sale for $4. Got boots and some mittens that have sleeves so no pulling them off at target. We have her hat from last year that still fits.
The children.... they're beginning to conspire. J chills in a mamaroo right by Ks play area. I keep K in there so she doesn't run out the front door or up the stairs. So J is crying because she lost her paci. And I'm coming out of the kitchen to give it back to her, when I see that K has pulled a table over and is standing on her table, leaning over the gate, and giving her sister back her pacifier. Uhm? Really? Kids are cray cray up in this house.
She has a few bumps and hives in some places, but this is the best I've seen her in 8 days!!! And after what she looked like yesterday afternoon I was seriously freaking out.
Fx so damn hard that she doesn't get worse again. I'm too excited for another let down.

DH woke the entire house up this morning at 2am leaving to go milk. He must have gone in and out 7 times and let the storm door slam each time. So either Jo or M was up from that point on, which means mommy has been up since 2. I am dreading the rest of today. I have my most difficult class of the week in 20 minutes, and I am dreading the thought of fucking around with kindergartners this afternoon. I just want to go home. And sleep. Or just watch tv. Or drink.

OH. I forgot. I went with DH to his doctors appointment this morning. Things are no better with his hips. We scheduled to have his right hip replaced 11/23 and his left hip replaced 12/28.
graciest719, I hate your H will have to have surgery. And especially right at the holidays. I hope your day isn't terrible with no sleep. Maybe your kindergarten class will be well behaved. TheTuna15, life with 2 gets easier. You can put them in the play room together and they will entertain each other for 5 minutes so you can breathe!

I'm not sure how I feel about it all.
See if you can get him to a physical therapist to start pre-hab. Even if only one visit for a home program - the stronger he goes in, the easier recovery will be. I can even send you a few exercises that I'd assume he's got weakness with (because everyone does) but seeing a PT would personalize the program for him.
Depending on your state, you may not even need a drs prescription for him to go. Call a PT place nearby, tell them the situation and your insurance company, and ask if they do direct access without a prescription. It will seriously make rehab so much easier if he's strong going in.
My mortgage company is annoying me again. The put a fee on us last year (just noticed it since we don't look at the statement) they said the fee was because someone came and looked at the property because we were delinquent on our loan. Umm no we have never been delinquent since it comes out of our account every month on the 15th. During the summer last year I had sent in a check because they screwed up and the check was supposed to go to escrow extra note with it and all and they put it on principal. The month after they made all the changes to correct their mistake they did the fee. I am guessing when they backed out the payments to fix it it showed our loan as delinquent. I said to remove the fee and any issues on our account is all their fault and not of ours.

portuguesemama, They didn't say anything about pre-op PT. I mean, his range of motion is so limited. He can't bend, can't turn his torso when standing, can't do much of anything except take tylenol. He has AVN in both hips to the point that even my dumb ass could see the deterioration on xrays between today and 3 months ago. Maybe can you send me some options? I will run it by him. SOmething we never even considered.
E did not like toting she stayed in the stroller and even then didn't really want to go up to the houses. I guess I should have went instead of daddy but it was daddy's year. We walk with a neighbor and they switch each year. Next year will be better she wasn't sure about all the costumes.
ladymike I'll have to check carters out! I bought an adorable cost on clearance from target at the end of the season but it's going to be too big, even though it's an 18 month size. Her hat from last year should still fit and hopefully her 12 month snow bibs will too. babys2015 I've suggested to h that we rent our place out when ready to move but he fears dealing with awful renters. Good luck though!! @megaugust10 how did your h's interview go? graciest719 that sucks about H. Fx he has a good recovery. I think portuguesemama has good advice too! Makes sense.
