We did so much laundry this weekend and I realized this morning that I still didn't have any clean work pants. It's a good thing I don't have to be in early today.

Oh I hate when that happens!
I have a thing about making sure our loads are full (unless delicates or soemthing) and every once in awhile it bites me in the butt when I need a particular item but haven't washed it because the Load wasn't full lol
Good morning! I'm so excited for today - I can't wait to put DS in his costume. We're taking all the kids ToT today and the local park does a nice set up for the kids. So much fun 😊.

Ulgh rough morning. DD wouldn't wear her halloween costume and I got really upset about it. I wanted to make her one but ran out of time so we grabbed one from Wal-mart. So of course she won't wear it.
I got irrationally angry about it though and felt like an awful mom, then when we finally got to school DS had a big poopy diaper and needed new pants and of course I forgot to bring extra clothes. I just ended up feeling like a failure as a mom, DS's morning teachers can give some judgy looks and they were definitely giving them this morning.
And I forgot my phone and wallet. So there is that.

I used to do that too. I've gotten into a routine now so everything gets washed every few days even if it isn't a full load. Work pants/jeans get washed on the weekend so I can wash them seperately but I'm sure the day will come where I run out of jeans.
gahorseygal that's rough. I hope the rest of your day is better!
Our pumpkins are carved, decorations are out, candy is ready. Countdown to trick or treating! Shall we do a Halloween photo thread on the private board?
gahorseygal, teachers should know better than to give you judgy looks. And should give you some spare pants! I'm sorry it was a rough morning.
We just had our Pediatric Units Trick or Treat and Costume Parade. It was so cute. I forgot my costume at home (Betty Rubble) So I took a white flat sheet from the linen cart and printed out a ghost face! I was a friendly ghost! I will give myself points for coming up with a costume under pressure and limited time!
DS's school has a costume parade today at 430. I can't wait.
Also I think I have decided to take a Mental Day tomorrow, aka, call in sick. BUT, we are STILL waiting for the joint commission to show up. If that e-mail comes in at 7am, I will HAVE to come to work come hell or high water.
It was such a busy weekend! Two carnivals, tailgating, football game, carving pumpkins, and I was able to get away for an eyebrow wax and target with no kids. DH was so excited for us all to go to the game. My expectations with two kids were a little more realistic. We didn't know they only allow clear bags (even the NFL will make exceptions for diaper bags), there was no place nearby to buy a bag, they didn't have any to give away, so I got sent on a wild goose chase to find a store to buy a clear bag, while DH and DS1 waited outside. DS2 was in the ergo and fell asleep, but we missed kickoff. Luckily we had switched everything to a cheap backpack before leaving the car, then we left it outside the stadium and it was still there at the end of the game. We had fun but it was a long day for the kids and they were exhausted. Sound protection was definitely necessary since they set off a cannon every time the home team scored a touchdown!

babycaps they always have extra clothes but my kid is constantly having to borrow the DC clothes. Part of the reason they complain about the cloth diapers. It's just the morning teachers, the afternoon one is so great.
I'm barely getting anything done at work today. I can't focus.

So, I'm not sure if it's because I'm more focused on what my kid is wearing compared to other kids, or just the general trend at daycare..
But this year is the year of the super hero. Yes, there are always little boy super heroes, and yes, there were plenty of princesses, but I saw so many little girl super heroes, it made me happy.

It is! I was listening to the radio the other day and they were talking about costume trends and superheroes are huge. I think they might have surpassed princesses this year.
I didn't realize this was a thing... Maybe it's a local thing.
Sexy walking dead costumes (think sexy nurse or sexy librarian only characters from walking dead$.
My Facebook feed is full of girls dressed up like sexy Rick grimes and daryls 😳
Last night I saw girls dressed at vs models on fb. So they've gotten rid of the costumes completely and just wear lingerie to parties now.
That's been happening for years. Years ago I was at a club and was in the costume contest for an awesome costume and lost to a girl in lingerie - no idea what she was. But posting to FB is another level - don't their grandparents see that?!?

I wonder why? DD picked out her costume with no help from me. It was actually one that someone gave her when she was in the hospital. She doesn't watch any super hero shows or have any of the toys.. we were surprised when she picked it out.
