My sister had a biter and everytime my niece bit, she would say ouch loudly and make a pained face and then stop the session immediately. She would wait about 5-10 minutes to try again and repeat the process if necessary. I'm sorry this is happening to you sometimes my lo clamps down on me with her gums and it stings bad. I'm terrified for when her teeth come in
We went through this just a couple weeks ago. Every time I fed him I was on edge and waiting for the biting. It was awful. He bit me a couple times that drew blood and it took a while to heal. I got the lanolin out and that really helped.
I loudly told him "no biting" and unlatched him any time he bit. It was mostly happening when he was done nursing or distracted so I would end the session there. He went on a nursing strike one day after I ended a session but eventually he got hungry enough to nurse again. Moving to a quiet room to bf has helped and I'm not on edge when I feed him anymore.
Also, If you have an open cut try the football hold or some other position so the pressure isn't on the same spot. You will heal up faster. I hope it is a short lived phase!
