Sometimes I do feel DD (3) is mature for her age and then she reminds me that she's 3 by throwing an epic tantrum about the pants I picked out for her. However, she is very caring towards her baby brother. I think she's just emulating what she sees us doing and the teachers at daycare. There are times when she tells me things that I wouldn't think a 3 year old would/should understand and I'm amazed, but I don't think I would go as far as to say she's an old soul.

Isaac turns 2 tomorrow and the things he says are just crazy! Since 4 months he has been speaking. His first words was Hi. Once when he was 5 mos he told my friend at the dinner table around a ton of people that he talks. He simply looked over at her and said "I talk!" It was kind of spooky. By 7 mos, he said two syllable words. He could say "Waffle" "Water" I took so many videos. My Instagram is loaded with videos of his speech progress.
I would tell him something and he would just understand. He knew what I meant when I said we use two hands to pick up things. He picks up things so quickly. He sings alot of different songs from memory. He speaks in full sentences now. Like a little person. Complete thoughts and very clear. His pediatrician always jokes and calls him a prodigy. I think it is just because I am so chatty and read to him constantly. We read maybe 10 times a day.
Now Evie is doing similar things. She says certain words that he did. Last night she said "A story". I am sure that she is just trying to copy Isaac but it's still interesting to witness. We were told to not expect her to talk so soon but her first word was Hi at 3 mos. So we will see.
songbirdsinging55 love that! Early talkers are so cute! My friend has one her daughter is 2.5 now and is just hilarious! Plus she is so tiny she looks younger than she is, so her vocabulary really catches ppl off guard.
LO is super serious. She makes this scrunch face that reminds me of my dad, I'm not sure why, LO doesn't look like him at all, but we call it her Bruce face (my dads name). People always comment on how serious she is and that she looks like she is thinking. Even our pediatrician said something about it.
She definitely knows hi, bye, up/arms up (so we can pick her up) and her name and maybe no (she at least knows the tone) but she just babbles. She has also possibly started calling me dada but it's hard to tell. Lol she also growls like hrmmmm, but super throaty, it's hilarious, she does it all the time.
