I'll probably call the peds office, but figured I'd see what you all thought first since he's doing fine otherwise.
The past couple days his poops have gotten slimy, like there's mucous in it. The color is normal and he's not any fussier than normal so I feel like there's nothing wrong, but then why the slimy poops?
The only changes in the past couple days is that he has been drooling more and blowing spit bubbles and the only new food for me was black beans (but I've eaten other beans since delivery). He has spit up a couple times today but it seems like normal baby spit up.
Anyone deal with this before? Any thoughts before I run it by the peds office?

I think your still on the normal range. Form what I've read it's when they have red poop (and black I think) that you should worry because it means there could be blood. But slimy is normal im pretty sure. Jackson had slimy and seedy for a long time while in the hospital.

I worried about all of C's poop. Always. I made so many trips to the pedi and it was never anything. BF babies poop changes so often and there could be so many reasons, so I'm not worrying about much with E. His poop got mucousy and green around 6 weeks. At that point I cut out dairy and it has improved. Still not seedy like they say "normal" BF poop is, but I'm not worried. He's had a cold this week and it's gotten mucousy again... because he's extra boogery. His drool can absolutely make his poop slimy, too. I say keep an eye on it. If there's no blood I wouldn't be too concerned. If it doesn't improve, it may be worth looking into. But always call to ease your mind if you're worried!!

Thank you both for making me feel better about not having called already!
Maybe I'll just keep an eye on it for now then. Definitely no blood and the fact that the drooling and slimy poops line up that's probably the cause. I keep reading that drooling during teething can cause mocousy poops, so why wouldn't normal increased drooling do the same?

Drooling definitely equals mucous in poop since they swallow excess saliva.
And for those having nap issues, may I present my solution today:
She's barfy only when there's breastmilk in the bottle. Only formula only bottles she's not spitting up at all. I don't want to waste the breastmilk we have. I might just push through and hope the milk from a couple of days later will agree with her more.

After a weekend of fluctuations of normal, he had a very green snot-like poop a little while ago so we're headed to the ped at 4:30. They didn't sound concerned but wanted to see him since he's so young. Here's hoping it doesn't turn into anything!

We had a green poop once and our LC said if they get mostly foremilk in a feeding, it will cause green poop. It was back to normal the next poop so we never looked into it more. Hope it's nothing!
Me: 28, all tests normal DH: 34, very low count, motility, morphology DX - MFI 11/14/09 - Married 01/01/14 - TTC #1 01/06/15 - Started working with RE 04/06/15 - Recommendation - straight to IVF w/ICSI 09/04/15 - Started working with new RE Nov/Dec 15 - IVF w/ ICSI #1 - 11R/8F - 1 transferred, 3 frozen
They checked for microscopic blood and there was none so an intolerance has been ruled out for now. Plus he has no other changes besides the poop (fussiness, spitting up, etc). He was up to 9lb 15oz so while he's still gaining slowly, Dr said he's on track with how he was gaining at his last visit so she was happy with that too
Dr thinks in his case it doesn't mean anything and may just be a phase while his digestive system continues to matures.
