Lo has been so fussy tonight. I think he has reflux. He finally calmed down when I propped him up in the crib with a wedge pillow (sleep positioner). I know some people swear against them, but he is happy and sleeping so I'm just going to keep an eye on him..
I really hate my cats now that I have LO! They are so needy and I can't stand it!
I really wish I didn't have cats!
We got rid of all of our animals (to good homes) before LO came. It was so sad but so worth it! I couldn't imagine trying to care for anything else... DH says we are a fish family now lol
It's a series of albums that take rock and heavy metal music and turn it into lullabies. We bought a few of them off iTunes before we realized our local library had the whole series. I love The Police album, though DS preferred The Beatles.

I feel the same way about my dogs. As soon as we got home with DS(almost 3 yo now) I knew I didn't feel the same about them. We really only still have them because one is old and I feel like anyone else wouldn't take good care of her and the other becuase DS *LOVES* him. Once these dogs pass on I don't see us having pets again for a long time.

I'm not getting rid of any cats....but damn. They want to walk on me, lay on me. Beg for food when I'm in the kitchen making a bottle. They get pissed when I shoo them off me to tend to the baby....and the one is a giant douche and bullies the other two all day long. It's like I'm a pet sitter. The one cat is 16, the other two are 8 and 7....so they could go any time. I told DH no more pets after they go.

I've threatened one of my cats multiple times that she may need to find a new home. She didn't adjust well to less attention and has always been a little bsc. I'd never go through with it, but she needs to shape up.
Ugh, I feel you all on the pets! I have 2 cats and 2 dogs and they are SUPER annoying. I love animals normally but most days I just want to punch mine in the face. The cats start squalling for food every time I get up to feed the baby and my dogs are currently barking in their crate. So obnoxious.

I have two cats who are actually being good with all the recent changes. But my father in law lives with us and has two dogs who are the worst. He doesn't take care of then So they aren't trained, they always jump and bark. I have threatened him many times that if he doesn't shape them up than either he can leave and take the dogs with him or the dogs can find a new home. I feel bad cause I love animals but I just dont have the energy

I love my dog, but she seems hellbent on disrupting bedtime every single night. We must have ghosts, because she just barks at nothing. I have no patience for her or our cat.
We have a few friends who gave away their pets as soon as they had children, and I admit that I totally judged them. Now that we have F, my one cat is driving me absolutely crazy and I've threatened to give him away multiple times. Nothing he didn't do before she was born, but I have so much less patience now. I've started taking cat food to bed with me at night because he won't stop scratching the windowsill when I'm up at 5am nursing to get me to feed him.
We took in a cat around Thanksgiving that was starving. I think we are willing to let her go to another home now because she's terrified of ds 1 so hides all day and then pees on any soft surface she can because she's mad. I think she'd be much happier in a house without children. I don't feel bad about dh wanting to give her away since she's not really friendly to me and she's recovered from being emaciated and having worms and fleas, so I think she's a prime candidate for adoption.
My cats didn't want anything to do with me or the kids once our kids were born. I agree though they are just cats after you have kids where before the cats were the children. Sorry if that doesn't make sense, it's 2am
My cats have been driving me nuts. Lately they've been following me to the nursery for MOTN feeds and acting a fool. I know they just want my attention, but there's a better way than disturbing my drowsy baby with your shennanigans.
We were worried about my cat, but has taken the transition well so far. Since the bassinet is in our room, we no longer let the kitty sleep with us at night. He has meowed at the bedroom door a few times, but he's so quiet we hardly ever hear him. He does cuddle DH a lot more since my lap is taken. When I nurse baby in bed, he lays at my feet. For the most part, he ignores the baby. He's 11 now and I could never part with him. I grew up with pit bulls and German shepherds; so a kitty is nothing.
