1. This might be my only chance to check in so I'll start off. Life has been so crazy lately. I literally drop into bed at night completely exhausted.
2. Today is really busy for me as M has an MD appt this afternoon.
3. I'm going to vote after O goes to bed I think. I can walk to the polling place so nbd.
4. I refuse to get caught up in the drama of today. I can't control the outcome other than my vote so I just have to let it go.
5. I have also stopped watching the news and pretty much all live TV. I find it has helped me to focus on the stuff that is important in my life.
6. I'm currently reading How to Raise an Adult. It's basically about how kids now are over parented and over watched and how that leads them to be incapable adults. I'm really enjoying it although I'm not sure how to fix the issues that the book brings up (and not be reported to CPS).
7. The new eating plan is going really well. I'm finally wearing pants I did 2 years ago before my celiac dx.
8. I got a 4.5 mile run in yesterday. On the treadmill but I will take it. Also registered for the Turkey Trot.
9. S is such a sweet baby. I feel like I get very little time with her but she is starting to give gummy smiles regularly and 'talk' and coo. I still can't believe she sleeps.
10. I've started on 2 projects for O for Christmas. I hope they come out well.
1. Thanks for starting this cetcar! I will definitely need many distractions today because it will be a long and anxious day awaiting the results. Fortunately I only had to hide 2 people on my fb and the rest are actively with her so I have lots of support!
2. 1 paper done for the week, another paper and exam to go. Not sure where the time will come for it all so they will definitely not be my best work.
3. We're telling my parents about being pg this Friday or Sunday. We're doing dinner at a Chinese restaurant and ordered engraved chopsticks that we will sneak onto their place setting before they arrive. I'm praying the chopsticks arrive in time! They say "Congrats Grandma! A little dumpling is on the way" and "Congrats Grandpa! The fun begins May/June 2017". I can't wait!
4. The home stretch of this semester might kill me lol. I'm so close to being done and yet have soooooo much work to do!
5. I woke up with a sore neck! It's the worst and I can't take ibuprofen! Wahhh!
6. NT scan tomorrow! Can't wait to see the baby again and hope everything looks just as it should!
7. Trying out group prenatal care on Thursday but will still see my regular mw on Monday so I can decide which one I want to stick with (I'll be 12 weeks on Friday!). I think it will depend on whether we like the group appt mw as well as the other couples but we really like our current mw so it will be a tough decision.
8. I have class tonight until 9:30 but plan to have the news running on my computer lol. The professor would totally understand though he won't be able to see. Must try and balance paying attention while being completely and utterly distracted!
9. I can't wait for Thanksgiving! It's usually my favorite holiday because my whole extended family gets together and I love all of my cousins! This year will be extra exciting!
10. Of course there is drama with DW's family and Thanksgiving where one brother-in-law and his family might not come! It's so sad how his wife has isolated her family the way she has! I said ok well then they can find out on fb that we're pg when the rest of fb finds out lol. (Instead of hearing at Thanksgiving). Her family is maddening at times!

1. DST is kicking our asses. The late afternoon nap is the worst. She will. Not. Sleep.
2. Happy the election will be over tonight. Obviously I'm anti-Trump but I liked Bernie better than Hillary.
3. End of election in our house means H. becoming less rude and condescending. She's super pro-Hillary which is fine. I like debating and discussing how the U.S. got to this point - we haven't been able to have those conversations.
4. Nap tips?
5. I don't even know what to say.
6. Feeling low energy and moody these days.
7. My friend whose going through the separation is holding up, probably part of the drained feeling bit though.
8. I hate that it's dark so early... I think that is messing up Is also. She thinks I'm putting her to bed?
rosesquared, When I was in grad school, I remember Thanksgiving break wasn't much fun since I always had a ton of work to do (midterms) and spent the time off so stressed and staying up late working. But exciting the cat is almost out of the bag! We waiting until 13 weeks to tell our family and it was really memorable hearing their reactions.
1. Today I kind of wish we had cable so we could watch the election coverage. CET assured me we can live stream it tonight.
2. I was looking at #pantsuitnation pictures this morning and found myself getting a little emotional reading all the stories of support, voters representing their Grandmothers who would have voted for her, and being a role model for the future generation that women can be president.
3. Then I started thinking about what we'll wear to the polling station. We'll at least wear white to represent the Seven Sisters & women's voting rights.
4. Moving on from the election, M ate a bunch of avocado at lunch yesterday. We're seeing some improvements with eating recently. Usually mainly at one meal a day. She also slowly moved forwards yesterday. Kind of like crawling. She's seeming like such a big kid lately. Holding onto the baby while watching her grow. I still have to pinch myself that she's real.
5. I burned our chili last night (our dinner). How do you burn chili you may wonder? Leave it on too high while it simmers and end up underneath a sleeping M who missed her afternoon nap because of how the day ended up working out (CET's mom was still visiting) and you know going out to the stove would wake her up and you'd rather have burned chili than a fussy baby during dinner. Fortunately, it was only the occasional bite that tasted burned.
CET's-
6. Just had lunch today with a younger alum of our college who's also teaching riding and such out in LA. Small world!
7. I really just want to leave work early today, vote before there's a big line, and then go home and watch the returns.
8. Baby slept until around 4:30 this am, which is close to what she was doing before DST, so hopefully she's switching over.
9. My new passport just came in the mail yesterday. Hope it's not a sign I'll need to get out of the country tomorrow.
10. My brain is too fried from all the election talk to come up with a good #10. I'm trying to take a breath now that we're in the final hours & let myself be proud of being able to vote for a woman for president. I know I'll always remember this, and I don't just want to look back at it as being stressful and maddening.

cetcar I'm following the Clean Gut diet. The diet is supposed to be for 3 weeks then you try to add in other foods. He recommends a bunch of supplements that I've started this week (my 2nd week). For some reason this diet seems to agree with me.
6. I have never waited in a line of more than two or three people to vote, large lines seem like a common occurrence in the US, is this true? bexincanada, do you have lines when you vote?

7. I'm not sure I have much else to say.
It's similar here... sometimes I wait 5 minutes... it might be busier, 10 minutes tops during peak times (way home from work.)
