Thank you all for your kind words!
Here's an update that I also posted to Dec'2016. Things are going ok over here. I think I spoke too soon in my initial post because unfortunately Gabriel did end up getting admitted to the NICU. Poor little peanut just can't seem to regulate his blood sugars. He also has a bit of a tongue tie, which is making feeding (bottle or breast) rather challenging. So he's got a little feeding tube. Visiting and leaving my baby in the NICU has been one of the hardest experiences of my life. It's amazing how much I love this little person I just met. Kudos to all the NICU moms out there!
Gianna has been an absolute dream. She eats, sleeps and does her thing on exact 3 hour intervals and I really appreciate that. I'm trying to get her schedule synced up a little closer to Gabriel's so I'm able to sleep more than an hour at a clip.
And for the brutal honesty, breastfeeding and pumping has been a complete disaster. It's like a viscous cycle where I try, I fail, I cry and then I try again. I am pretty close to just throwing in the towel and telling the lactation nurses to fuck off. So there's that.

I am sorry G went the NICU. Its so rough. Hardest day of my life was when baby girl had to stay and I could go home with baby boy. But its all a distant memory now. And you will get there too. Lots of hugs. You are doing great moma. I have no advice on BF. Mine were FF from the get go. But I hope it gets easier for you!

requiressnacks, are your babies fed? Then you are a great mom. Mine were just over 5lb each and the consensus was it would be easier when they got bigger. Hang in there and do what's right for you. I EPd for 6m- started to wean at 4m when my mental health started to fray. It's hard no matter what but you are already an amazing mama!!!
Yikes. I noticed this post. Glad baby girl is doing well. Hope baby boy gets strong amd stabilized enough to leave nicu soon. Hugs. And pumping and breastfeeding is tough adding in the mix of 2 newborns. Good luck!
Sorry about the emotional roller coaster with NICU and feeding. I hope baby boy gets stronger every day and is able to break out of there quickly! So glad she is taking it easy on you.
And I can't echo enough what schmella said. As long as your babies are fed and loved, you're doing it right. Keep your chin up, mama!

So late to the party, but congrats lady!!! They are absolutely adorable and I love their names. I feel like you were re-telling my story. My peanuts were born at 35 weeks and I was told they were doing great, no NICU time needed. Then one of them failed her car seat test and she had to stay for a week. It was such a roller coaster and so hard trying to pump and feed and get to know both of them in that tiny NICU space. Anyways, enough about me, I just wanted to tell you that I completely commiserate and I hope that you can all put this behind you and be together at home soon! Hugs!!

Hi ladies! Thanks again for all of your kind words. I just wanted to let you know that Gabriel is home now! His feeds are so much better and he has been gaining weight...,slowly but surely. It feels so good having everyone under one roof, even if it is exponentially more chaotic. I am dreading when MH goes back to work! Here's a rare peaceful pic from yesterday Gabriel is on the right, Gianna on the left.
