I'm here! Just struggling to keep up with everything, it's been a doozy of a five months, between having the babies, my two older kids, going back to work, getting sick, the election.... I'm really really hopping life starts to settle down soon! Theodore and Elodie are 5 months yesterday and sleeping through the night thank goodness. Still nursing, which is nice, but takes so long! Finally starting to drop some pregnancy weight which is a relief. I'm looking forward to the holidays and I have high hopes for January because I hear twins get easier around 6 months... we'll see!
Thanks for the check in pbandj714! I always love hearing from a fellow twin mom!
For all you struggling with dinner, I've found some good crockpot dinners (like ribs with BBQ sauce, so simple) or things we can make on the weekend and eat leftovers later in the week (google green chili lasagna, so good). I'm also hoping once the babies are on solids we can start to include them in our meal.

I'm here! Although tapatalk no longer notifies me of tags which is annoying. E is 5 months old! She's so different from DD1, laid back and can entertain herself. Still mostly waking up every 2 hrs but goes back down pretty easily. She's rolling all over and scooting around. I'm getting hopeful that maybe we'll avoid the dreaded bald spot. She and DD1 are so sweet together I love it
Thanks for the tag pbandj714. Ds2 is 5 months now and he tried avocado tonight. He loves food so far and I'm hoping it'll help with sttn. Right now he's waking every 2-3 hours. I've been terrible and letting him sleep in the swing but having a 3 year old and a husband gone all the time I do what I can to get things done. I started looking for a nanny because wfh is getting hard (or just not happening).
Congrats frecklesnbrains! I hope closing and moving go smoothly and ds does well with the transition.
pbandj714 my cousin has twins and she switched to formula very quickly because of supply. You did awesome going as long as you did. I can't even imagine feeding two. I can barely keep up with just one! greysonsmom I added you on ig.
I'm sorry BFing didn't work out pb and j. But there's nothing wrong with formula and hopefully it's making life less stressfulikely.
Congrats on the house freckles brains!
Sorry about the uti Chriskoo. Glad she's better now
Thanks. I was able to breastfeed and supplement until 3 months, so I'm glad they were able to get SOME at least. But yea, formula truly enables me to be a better mom bc I was seriously on the edge of PPD while I was struggling to feed them. They're healthy and happy and so am I!
Hi girls! I'm still here but it's so much easier for me to check Facebook so I stopped checking in here. I prefer Facebook when mobile because I don't like Tapatalk but I'm at my computer all day so I'll check in more often. I can't keep up tagging on mobile but I read through everyone's update and I'm so glad to hear that everyone is doing well.
Dd2 is doing great. She will be 5 months in 5 days. Time is flying and it makes me so sad when I actually have time to stop and think about it. DD1 is keeping me so busy and testing all of my patience. Dd2 is an ok sleeper. Better than her sister ever was but still not good. She is a champion back to belly roller but hasn't gone belly to back. I'm trying to work on it with her. Probably my fault because when she fusses I just roll her over. She's a piggy and eats a ton but we are still nursing. I feel like she eats more than I pump most days but I have a freezer stash so we have been fine. She's the happiest baby I've ever seen. She smiles all the time and her giggles are to die for. She's so noisy in general and "talks" all the time. So different than her sister (though she doesn't shut up now!). She is very hot and cold though. When she's mad she's pissed and inconsolable. She definitely prefers me over everyone else and is very aware of where I am in a room and when I'm not around. It's adorable but so frustrating sometimes!
I'm here too. DS is doing so well. I really feel so lucky that he is such a good baby. He eats well, sleeps through the night and is always smiling. I took him on a road trip solo this weekend (4-4.5 hours) and he slept almost the whole way on the way down with one stop to eat. He slept the entire way home which included an extra stop to pick up my dog. He rolls and has recently really started to like playing with toys on his tummy. He doesn't nap much for me but will a couple times for the sitter for about 45 minutes each time. His hair is awesome and has thinned out on the sides and just left a mop on top :-)

Thanks for the tag pbandj714. Count me in as not checking in once everything moved. I would love for the board to be active again though.
The not so pleasant stuff first. I posted a while back about a tree falling on our house during a summer storm. We are now living in an apartment after two months of hotel living. The repairs on our house are expected to be completed in January. Our toddler keeps asking to go back to her house. It is heart breaking and we dream of the day we can tell her she's going back home.
I also posted about my dad being diagnosed with cancer and was about to have surgery. My father survived surgery but sadly passed away a little less than six weeks after. He was diagnosed and died of cancer all in under three months. We don't live in the same state, but I am thankful we made the trip to NY to see him soon after his surgery. He was heavily medicated but happy to see the kids.
To end on a more positive note, DS is doing well. His sleep and progress were slightly disrupted for a bit with us being displaced but he's doing much better now. He turned five months over the weekend. He's been rolling from back to tummy for a month, and he has rolled from tummy to back a couple of times, though I think those happened by chance. He absolutely loves it when you talk to him and he gives you the biggest smiles. He loves having the alphabet sung to him, especially by his sister. He immediately stops crying when he hears it. He babbles a lot and is overall a happy baby. I started back at work on a PT basis from home, to return FT in January. I got a much later start on pumping than I planned due to the displacement, and as a result we just started offering DS a bottle which has not been going well but we will keep trying. I am working on my freezer stash for when DS starts daycare in January and I am hoping to have a decent amount so I don't feel too pressured once he's there if I didn't pump enough during the day.
I am glad to hear everyone is doing well and our babies are progressing nicely. I look forward to being part of June 2016 again and being as supportive as I can.
ETA: Sorry about the autocorrects that were seemingly made but you get the gist of it. I am mobile and it's a pain to fix.
Outofhiding, I'm so sorry for the loss of your father. I'm sure he was glad to have seen the kids again after his surgery. I hope you guys are able to get back to your house soon! That would be tough. So glad your DS is doing well! His sister singing him the alphabet sounds like the most adorable thing ever.
pbandj714,thanks for posting and bringing our board back to life. For some reason I didn't the tag over the weekend so I'm just seeing all the new threads.
Outofhiding I am sorry for your loss and sorry that you had such a rough summer. I hope your house gets repaired soon.
Outofhiding I'm sorry for your loss of your father as well as your house. I hope 2017 brings a fresh lift to your family's spirits and you get to move back into your home. Sounds like ds is doing really well!
So I'm just getting this notification now. I never come on here. FB is just easier to me. I will try and be more active here though because I do I miss you ladies that are not on FB.

I'm sorry for your loss and difficult times, Outofhiding.
Thanks for the tag! I feel like I'm popping up with straw in my hair, "Whozat?" "Tag?" "Tag!" I am not on Facebook and would love to come back. Hello hello!
Baby bear is trucking right along, doing beautifully. He is a happy baby! Nowhere near sleeping through the night, though. He generally has 3-4 wakeups, though a while back he was having 1-2 so I know he can do it!
