What does the doctor say shellyr? Do you just have to let it run its course?
We don't have a doctor here yet but the ER said it could last 2-3 days. She's otherwise acting normal. If she's still running a fever by Sunday we will probably end up in urgent care, which blows.
hiimjamie, hey there! I don't have an answer to your question, but I'm excited you are going for another sweet baby! How do you feel about going on the journey again?

Aw @janetheconquerer so many hugs!!!
I'm back in cell range, only 800km more to go tonight! We got past heart attack road (mentioned earlier) so it's golden now. The temperature dropped to -15 over the last two days so thankfully the road was frozen and was much better.

ampaints sounds like you have a great plan following your appointment tomorrow! DS2 is still not walking either, but seems so close. We go to the ped end of the month, so we will see where we go from there.

shellyr I hope C is feeling better soon and the fever goes away. Glad to hear it doesn't seem to be bothering her in other ways. Does your new job have good policies around family care? I hope you have been able to be home with her.

Busy day over here. I'm taking a leadership course, so I was in class all day. Then afterwards I spoke with one of the instructors who mentioned they are looking for a part time teacher in my field for an evening course. The compensation would not be great when broken down (only paid for teaching time, does not include prep or marking) but I think it will look good professionally. I am going to get some more info about it. I might consider it to save money for a girls trip next year I'm planning with my girlfriends to celebrate our 40th.
When I got home my mom told me she thought my dog had a seizure. Apparently he had a weird episode for about 5 minutes where he couldn't move and was shaking. Sounds so scary. He seems better now, so we will monitor.
Now I'm off for dinner with my girls to fill my soul a bit!

@betweenthelines how has the rest of your week been?
Eh, work is still running me into the ground. I'm still recovering from the stress overload. I haven't even been on TCF much, I stepped back a little after being so overwhelmed.. hoping to have a low key weekend though.
redandblue, my job is not good for sick time, especially since I just started. Luckily, my sister lives with us and is also our nanny, so she has been watching her.
I just checked her temp again. 102. And she's literally running all over, eating and drinking like normal.
packmomma, thinking about you. Take care of yourself tonight!
ampaints, I'm glad you are getting some answers with the evaluations.
hiimjamie, hey there! I don't have an answer to your question, but I'm excited you are going for another sweet baby! How do you feel about going on the journey again?
Excited and nervous! It took us almost 2 years to have Jake so we don't want to wait too long bc we want them to be close in age. The only thing I keep thinking is "how he heck are we going to afford daycare for 2?!" Haha! I know if you wait until circumstances are perfect, you'll never do it.
redandblue so I took my lt back because of the scary situation with your dog. Fx everything is fine on that front and it was a one off. That's exciting about the job offer. Sucks it doesn't pay more but the professional aspect is great.
Thanks guys for all the good thoughts. Today is better. Hanging with ampaints helped and then I had a long talk with my stepmother who gave me great perspective and insight. I'll probably make a seperate post this weekend for insight because I'm still at a loss and maybe you guys have experience with it. Tl: dr You guys are the best!

packmomma I'm glad today has been a better day and that you had a good talk with your stepmother and had fun with ampaints. I hope your therapy appointment is helpful tomorrow.
@janetheconquerer I'm so sorry to hear about what's going on with your thyroid. It also sucks that you're getting this news right before the weekend and have to wait until Monday to get the biopsy scheduled. Being in limbo certainly doesn't help in these situations. I hope the biopsy is as quick and easy as possible and that it doesn't turn out to be anything serious.
ampaints I'm glad the evaluation was helpful and that M can get some help now to strengthen his muscles.
Hi ladies! I know I haven't been on in a while! I hope you and your LOs are wonderful! Jake is amazing. This kid talks so much. He has so many words. It's insane. Wife and I are planning on visiting our RE in January(ish) (January is super busy we won't even be in the state for half of it but wife keeps saying January) to talk about trying for a second baby! I don't know if any of you know about this? We have health insurance through my work and they cover part of infertility treatments/IUI/meds/IVF etc. We're thinking about getting secondary insurance though Wife's work too but I'm not sure how that would work. Do we put both on the paperwork at the doctor and they bill both? Both say they cover a certain percentage so if (just a random example) they both cover 20%, would we then have 40% covered? Halp.
If the patient (you, for example) is covered under both plans, then the first might cover 20% of the allowed amount, and the second might pick up 20% of whatever is left. You would have to submit the claim to the primary insurance first, and once they process it, it can be submitted to the secondary insurance. If you want to be sure, you could each call your respective insurance plans and ask.
Good luck with TTC. That's very exciting! I hope things are easier this time around.
We are flying east tomorrow to spend Thanksgiving week with my family. I have a ton of packing left to do and I'm hoping by some miracle to get it done and be in bed by midnight. The twins are mostly over their illness and so far Abigail hasn't gotten it. DH and I picked it up though so I have some mild cold symptoms and am super hoarse. The croup virus doesn't affect adults nearly as badly as it does for kids.
I'm a little nervous about flying with Abigail tomorrow. The twins will be great, but Abigail is at that tricky age where she's totally mobile, doesn't yet understand about the rules of airplane travel, and is suddenly very vocal when she's not getting her way. I'm packing lots of snacks and books to occupy us. Also a slinky from the dollar section at Target. If it's disastrous, so be it.
