@enchanted - I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope seeing some of your extended family was nice, despite the circumstances. It sounds like you're going through a lot lately. Words don't feel like enough, friend. I can offer internet {{hugs}}
Age: 3.5 (official as of last Friday)
Milestones: I can't think of any right now.
Challenges: Sleep of course. It's like she doesn't need a nap 90% of the time and she generally sleeps better at night if she doesn't have one. But on the days she needs a nap, she fights it and ends up overtired by bedtime. Plus, DC has nap/quiet time every day from 12-3 and I never know if she naps or not. We're in a weird limbo.
Funny/cute stories: They've been talking about government at school, specifically the commander in chief, and what he does. She told me "the preseedent is Barak Obama, he lives in the White House in Washytin DC, and that the candeedate that won is Donald Trunk, like Donald Duck but his name is weird". I told her she knew more than a lot of adults LOL
How are you? Not great. Kind of depressed and in a funk. Plus, MH and I had a stupid argument last night and he made me feel like sh!t this morning. Must be something in the air. And stressed planning all this family stuff alone, trying to please everyone, and handle the house by myself.
Anything else? We're supposed to go see Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them on Saturday, but I'm not sure I even want to go on a date with MH right now. We love the world of HP, so I'm sure it'll be a good movie.
QOTW: Sweet potatoes.
And enchanted, I assume you dislike the typical cream of whatever soup with green beans and crunchy topping? Me too. I make this recipe instead and skip the mushrooms (for my family - it's good with them), use Swiss or gruyere instead of mozzarella, and use French's fried onions (because yum) but it's also good with croutons.
