I'm over here running around like a chicken with my head cut off.
My dad apparently decided to surprise us with getting some non-essential work done on our house for Christmas. They apparently decided to come today to do the work. 😰 I woke up to do station vehicles and an impatient contractor knocking on the door this am. I don't even know what they were doing.
I called my dad who was like "oh oops I thought they were going to tell me when they were planning on doing the work so I could give you a heads up"
At work! B slept through the night for the first time in ages. I have a show this week that opens tonight! Yay! Ready for it to be over so I can spend time with my family.
Picture day at daycare today. DD actually was good at drop off which is rare. Hoping today will be a good day!
I'm feeling so productive today. Nursery school drop off, grabbed a few things from the grocery store, had blood taken, cleaned the kitchen and lo is currently napping and I'm lounging, about to watch This is us.
I managed to get 4 bottles into lo yesterday, but he didn't finish any of them. He still woke every 3-4 hours overnight, but didn't finish those bottles either. I'm hoping it's a growth spurt. That would explain this weirdness.
I have my last appointment at the radiation oncologist tomorrow. And I'll finally get the results of the scan. Oh also I need to have more blood taken. Boo.
Well I had a short day at work. Got to drop off and Cam is running a fever. So I took him with me to do sub plans and set stuff up for the sub. Now we're back home. Poor kiddo. He has sick eyes.
In case anyone is curious, here's what my pediatrician said about me getting an MMR to help Allie with mumps immunity:
"Dr A. says at the moment cdc recommendations for MMR boosters in adults are isolated to those in daycare/school/healthcare settings. That has not changed with the most recent outbreak. However, that is completely up to you and would not harm anything."
So can't hurt, might help. I think I'll do it. I work at a university so I think I can justify it.

Had a quick trip to NY for work and H had both kids overnight by himself. Everything went well except I had to dump my milk due to poor planning. Not too concerned since it was only one day but I'm now pumping as much as I can to replace it!
Also I hate people today. Very hurt by a "friend" that I have to continue to be nice to since our H's are best buds. She shut me out last year when I was really struggling with pregnancy, our house being a construction zone, starting a new job etc. And now she reopened old wounds. We are having a friends giving this weekend and I was so excited but I can't bring myself to go now. I don't want to be around that negativity but I'm super bummed out.

I hope all of the sick babies are on the mend soon.
It's kind of sad at work today. There is a local church that caught fire a few days ago and it is still burning. Today they are demolishing it and the smell of smoke is really heavy here in the surrounding downtown buildings, which is just an ongoing reminder of the loss here in our community.
teraiin, sorry for the stress. That is a gift that while is really nice, I think it does warrant some notice to you guys.
I totally agree. I just wish h could understand that all we can really do is talk to my dad about boundaries. Getting al bent out of shape now is doing nothing more than giving me a headache even if DS not me he's mad at lol
They already are half way done anyway. Once it's done we can thank hm dad and just request that in the future he discuss it with us.

It just hit me that I'm leaving in the morning and have not prepared at all. Can't do laundry until h gets home, still need to go to the store for snacks and to finish off the secret Santa gift for gku. Still need to pack. Ah! I'm going to be so rushed tonight.
Maybe I'll wrap up Ridley and we'll make the trek in the rain. I have my baby wearing coat. Hm. Maybe. That's like 40 minutes of walking in the rain plus waiting for buses. I'll see how bad the rain is.
I wish she had more toys to choose from to take. Her favorite toys( the cube thing and sassy mirror) are too big take with us. Hm. Oh well.
So I knew this day would happen with two kids. Both are sick with unrelated, horrible viruses. DS1 has the flu and DS2 either had a bad reaction to tamiflu or has the stomach bug that is suddenly going around, which causes projectile vomiting. I think we might be through the worst of it with DS2. Praying they don't catch what the other one has!

oh no! Good luck! One such babe is bad enough, I can't imagine trying to comfort two+!

We leave Friday and I've been running around saying things like "how many diapers?!" Haha

That sucks. If both kids are going to be sick at the same time they better be sick with the same thing! FX they don't pass their sickness on to each other.
Having an awesome day over here. My DC kiddo has made ridiculous amazing progress lately, not only did he completely stop having tantrums, he's asking permission to do things, politely inviting me to play/help, helping others, accepting no for an answer , saying please, thank you, excuse me, etc. ... he's 2.5 (!!!) I'm sure it's just a season like everything else, but wowza, I love this kid! Hopefully he sticks around!
And my kid is a hoot lately. He's been playing with the older kids' hot wheels trucks. When they roll away he's hell bent on moving to go get them. He's getting into crawling position more and more lately.
Adding: just found out I'll be dress shopping next month for a bridesmaid dress for my bestie's wedding. I think I'll take back what I said about not worrying about dieting/exercising 😂
Operation avocado went down here this afternoon. I don't think he ingested anything. He didn't even seem interested to put any in his mouth! Mostly we just made a huge mess. Overall, the experience was very anticlimactic....

I am forever grateful that I don't have to pack a single thing Ridley short of what I'm going to bed for the actual plane ride and car trip. My sister's kids is the exact same size so she'll user hand me down clothes and cloth diapers while we're there. So glad I don't have to pack her clothes/diapers/most toys.
