I send him in his PJs (he is in a home daycare) and then she will change him into some sort of onsie/sweat pant combo. She usually has 4-5 changes of clothes just in case.

Long sleeved onesie, a pair of pants and socks is the norm. I always make sure he has at 2-3 full changes of clothes available, as well as hat & gloves and a jacket. He needs a change of clothes most days. A few days he's needed 2 changes.
A onesie, some soft pants and some socks. I'm a huge fan of those Carter's sets with the stuff on the butts. I send similar stuff as backups, but the stuff I consider junkier :-)

The backup outfits are a perfect use for the outfits we got as gifts that are sports themed or have things like "Grandma loves me" or "Prince charming" on them. Haha, I'm a baby clothes snob.
They go to an in-home daycare, and I usually send them in a onesie (short or long-sleeve depending on weather), soft pants, and socks, sometimes a one-piece outfit. I usually only pack 1 backup outfit for each kid and keep them fairly neutral so that if G needs 2 changes he won't end up in ruffly pink pants. I also send a backup bib for each because my kids are spit-up champs. On the off chance that they need more changes than that, our daycare provider's daughter is 2 months older, so they've worn her clothes home before. But that's only happened once.

Onesies and soft cotton pants all the time now that it's cooler. On hot days I sent him in one piece shorts outfits. The same for backup clothes. I have some one piece sleep and plays and send those too. I also put him in socks but no shoes. I make sure he has three back ups in his cubbie.
We live in a very moderate climate so I rarely ever send a hoodie and definitely no jackets or hats.
I send DD to daycare in all sorts of outfits. She got a lot of clothes at my shower and I want to get use of them all. As long as it's not formalwear (like a special occasion dress) I'll put her in it for daycare. Even some of her more casual dresses are worn to DC. I once put her in a tutu onesie with leg warmers. I get pretty creative. It's fun. But for the backup outfit I keep it simple, just long sleeve onesies and pants because I don't want the teachers to have to dress her in anything too complicated. I didn't realize how many accidents babies had. She started with two backups, but now I keep four there. She can go through two-four backups in a week sometimes. Other times she's cool. I actually just bought an assortment of these Koala kids outfits on clearance from BRU in her next size (6-9 month) to use as backup outfits for the future.

Usually onesie, pants and socks. Occasionally a casual dress. We send about 3-5 bibs/day because this kid is a drooly, spitty baby. Half the time they're still asking for more bibs. I try to keep 2-4 pairs of clean clothes there
