Thanks ladies!
In other ransoms, now that we are past a year, does anyone have any blankets in the crib? DD keeps waking at 4ish and trouble falling back asleep. I'm wondering if having a warm blanket would help but wasn't sure when it's ok to have anything with them.
Also, I think we are officially over purees so I need ideas for what to leave for the nanny to give her for lunch!!

ldubhawksfan We do modified meals for G of what we're having for supper, so a lot of times they'll be leftovers for lunch. Something quick that he really likes is sweet potato fries and he just feeds them to himself. Ground beef, small pieces of cheese, apples, noodles have all been successful as well.
I put on paw patrol for the first time this morning and G is just staring down the tv. Afraid to move in case I distract him... but need to get stuff done. Is now my chance?

We have had a blanket in her crib for a couple weeks- just a small crib size one but her room gets cold so I think it helps.
And for meals- we just give her whatever we are having. But if it's spicy, I'll do turkey dogs, baked beans, black beans, cheese, grilled cheese, peanut butter sandwich or crackers, hummus on pita. I also buy this frozen shredded rotisserie chicken that I can microwave in a couple seconds. I either give it to her plain or put some bbq on it.

Thanks guys. I've been leaving steamed veggies and sometimes meat leftovers, but I guess I just need to make more of an effort to have leftovers for her during the week!!

Thanks! Yeah dinner is usually part of what we are eating but lunch when I'm not there is when I need to have the foresight!

E took a second nap this afternoon. I actually got to read for half an hour. I haven't done that in ages. Love. After she's in bed I think I'll pour wine and keep reading :-)

Wahhhhhh why does my daughter wake at 4:30 and refuse to go back to sleep. I almost got her back to sleep and then at 6 she was up for the day. I did not get to go back to sleep. DH is all like bring her into bed. No, because after you did that yesterday morning, I woke up starting at 11:30 nearly every hour confused and checking the room for DD.

Gm ladies!!
E finally just went down for a nap. I hate the layout of our house.. her room (all bedrooms) are right next to the bath. So a shower will wake her. Maybe I'll bake.

I finally in stalled DD's convertible seat. They make them seem so intimidating!! I'm pretty sure we are good though. It's a britax and she is 21 lb, do you think the infant seat cushion is really necessary (says for under 22 lbs)??

I'd remove it. I never used it when either of mine switched to a convertible.
My H took the afternoon off to take the 4 year old to skating class and the 1 year old to a doctor appointment. I am receiving endless texts about how frustrating the experience is.

K, so I told W "no more avocado until you eat some of your Mac n cheese and peas" and she very quietly puts all the mac n cheese in her bib then proceeds to drop her peas on the floor one at a time.

I love that you have to bribe your kid with avocado to get her to eat mac and cheese.

Yup...that's life with two kids some days.
It satisfies me a little when DH struggles to get both kids ready. The exasperated looks and sighs. Welcome to my life, dude.

I swear DD1 is the better parent sometimes. On more than one occasion something like this has happened: "Mom, can I have an apple" "Finish your hotdog first, sweetie" .... "wait .... no. Go ahead; have an apple" Smh.

I regularly bribe them to eat meat and carbs using avocado and applesauce- sorry not sorry

Oh gosh. Absolutely!
Edit to clarify. I apparently missed a very important word in my answer ... Not. Not necessary.

Oh god I'm with you complete satisfaction. Except after he's done he thinks he needs applause or some shit. Really dude, I do this all the time! Lol
W woke up at 2:45 for no apparent reason and I have since been awake, thanks anxiety attacks! Ugh, it's 5:30 and I'm going to make myself some coffee, it's gonna be a long day
