M got up at 4. WTF kid. And Jo got up at 6. They both cried from 6-6:15. Not fun. But now Peppa is on so Jo is happy and M just had some carrots so he is happy.
Only 2 days of work this week AND I don't have to cook dinner! Leftovers tonight and tomorrow my mom is bringing dinner when she comes to get the kids. They will be staying with my parents from Tuesday night through Saturday.
Oh, and we put the Christmas tree up yesterday. I am usually a hard-line no Christmas until after Thanksgiving, but DH wanted to put it up. I thought Jo would play with the ornaments but she really just likes the lights. She keeps touching the bulbs lol
Morning. graciest719 sorry for the rough morning. E was up at 6 after going to bed at 9. We decided next Monday we are taking e to my parents for the night. We are going to spend Tuesday doing the carpets and letting them dry without her here. Tuesday is my brother's bday and we are meeting for dinner so we will get e back then. Hb said it was fine if e wants to do it. I asked a few questions and she answered no but when I asked if she wants to spend the night at grandma's she said yes. 1st night away from us. Will have to figure something special for dinner Monday night.

graciest719 Sorry for the tough start. Good job Peppa. Also, yay Christmas tree! I did ours on Saturday too. My kids, though, DO play with the ornaments. But we spent a solid 10 minutes convincing H2 that the red ornaments were, in fact, not apples.
@megaugust10 GL with E's first sleepover. You'll all do great.
No puking for 24 hours, so M is at school. She seemed to be her normal self. FX she has a good day!
A colleague criticized me this morning for what I bought for my little boy (work adopted a family for the holidays and I have the 5-month-old). I got him three toys, two packs of diapers, and two outfits. I may not be rich, but I'm also not living in a shelter like this family. What a jerk. Did I really get judged for buying Christmas gifts for a needy family?
malvo what was he criticizing? Non-toy gifts? Not enough? I dont see anything wrong with what you got your little boy!!
He thinks I spent too much money. He was all, "I'm not spending that much!"
Um. Ok. Target had 30% off toys and I get 5% off with my Red Card, so...
how stupid.Forget him, helping others is not a competition and you provided what you could. Whether thats "too much/little" to his standards doesnt matter.
graciest719, Sorry about the rough morning. Apparently, I was birthed by the wrong people? Will your parents adopt me and take my kid for the week?!!!
malvo, Ummm.. that's really none of his business. At all. I'm irritated.
pearsforpoops, how do you do time outs with H2? I tell N, go sit in your chair. Time out. Or I physically sit her there. And then she laughs and whacks me in the face. Which is why she was put into time out in the first place. sigh.
I almost got blown away by the freezing gusts of wind walking into work today. GEEZ. It's crazy out there. Saturday, we hung out in t-shirts in the yard. Yesterday and today, it's snow and ice cold winds. HUH?!
SO PUMPED FOR A SHORT WEEK.
Sorry I drunkenly crashed the Sunday thread. Ha...
We are letting Wayne stay the night with his grandparents for the first time in a year! We are supposed to have a date night but I'd be happy watching a movie and having popcorn at home. malvo I love that y'all are buying for a family in need! The gifts you bought sound amazing! The family will appreciate it, and that's all that matters.

I am not even sure when to use timeouts. If I scold Jo she has an epic hissy fit and throws herself on the floor (this is done very carefully so she won't hurt herself lol). At that point I usually just walk away and let her get over herself. She usually comes around in a minute or two. If I pick her up she just windmills her arms and hits me so I avoid that. She also threw her teacup and DH yesterday so he threw it back at her.
These kids are redic. J was awake all night. I'm guessing she's feeling a little under the weather. I have a scratchy threat and K is in a shit mood. I may need to make tacos tonight to make myself feel better.
I really need to figure out a better way to discipline K. She's throwing food. It's obscenely annoying. And the word "no" is just nothing to her. The terrible twos are no joke.

Yeah. K bit Mh yesterday and he just looked at me and yelled "Come on!! Can't I bite her back!?" No babe. You can't bite her back.

Hi guys!!! We made it down here, I don't know whose child I had on the airplane down here but he was freakin amazing! No screaming, no tantrums, no crying..... just a sweet kid playing with paw patrol stickers and sleeping in my lap! I thought I lost my phone at the airport but turns out I've had it all along. We've spent the last few days in the pool pretty much. He's having a blast!
graciest719, sorry for the rough start today! malvo, don't worry about your judgemental coworker. I think you did great with your choices. My kids refuse to sleep. A was up 4 or 5 times last night. LG slept in my bed and wasn't happy unless she was sleeping on me. I still managed to oversleep. And I'm freezing. I swear my office is 60 degrees. It's hard to type with frozen fingers! Thankfully it's a short week. My boss is gone so I may sneak out early to finish thanksgiving shopping.
I legitimately feared for my life outside just now. It was SO windy at one point, I honestly thought, "Oh my God. I'm going to blow over. I'm going to fly in to traffic. What do I do?" lol.
