nikonine I never thought I would wait either, but DH convinced me with DD to wait and it was so fun. A good surprise either way and if its your first (I can't remember?) then the nice thing is you get gender neutral things you need at your shower instead of clothes. We are set either way for this time boy or girl bc its all neutral =) You will love it

It's our second 😆 d infinitely don't think I would have been on board to wait the first time, but we purposely went gender neutral for the big things like high chair, stroller, etc. I think it's exciting this time because it's something different from our first experience. Are you waiting this time too?
I think all you who are waiting are awesome... But I SO could never do it. Lol. I'm too much of a planner. And just a need to know things type. Like I'd end up going through my chart when the nurse left the room or something.
Me: 32, Wife: 38, Together for 5 years, Married for 2 years IUI #1 (8/2016): Letrozole, Ovidrel, Crinone = BFN IUI #2 (9/2016): Letrozole, Ovidrel, Endometrin = BFP!! EDD 5/26/17
One question I had about the heat rate thing was: at what point? The first heart rate we got was below the 140 or whatever, but then it was above.
It looks like normal range is 100-120 at 6 weeks, up to 170 at 10 weeks then it goes down from there. I have read there is no statistical evidence to suggest boys and girls have distinguishably different heart rates.

I'm so jealous of all the people who are team green. I love the idea but like irish14, I could never do it because I'm too much of a planner. And I am so incredibly impatient that I just can't wait.

I could go either way because I like neutrals anyway but H wanted to find out and I'm excited to.

Team green yo!! DH and I are pretty old fashioned and don't care about these kinds of things lol. I like driving other people crazy though. It's a nice bonus.

icedtea, shaving? Like if you're pregnant with a boy you have to shave more? Because that is definitely true for me. When I was pregnant with DD, my hair growth slowed way down and it was awesome. With this one, I have to shave just as often, if not more.
What are other old wives tales for girls vs. boys? There's the one about morning sickness, and whether you crave sweet things or sour things, I think?
Those two, and there's the ring test and shaving (more often = boy, less often = girl). I feel like there were others but I'm blanking now.
They were mixed for me but lean toward boy which is what I'm having. No morning sickness- boy Craving sweets - girl Shaving more - boy Skin clearer than normal - boy
