Any recommendations for running in 20-40 degree weather? I'm good with a reflective fleece and tights. I'm looking for a quality breathable gaiter and gloves. I don't want them getting crazy sweaty and then being just cold and wet.
Got a gaiter. Haven't been out since I got it though. I found a great pair of gloves. Actually picked them up from Costco. They are Head, lighting wait but insulated and breathable. The weather here has been decent, but I've been rehabbing a knee injury from my last half. I'm slated to start back up with a run/walk program to ease into things this week.
I finally found the time (and the weather was cold enough) to use some of my stuff. Not cold enough for it all, but I went with a pair of UA tights that I've had for awhile and I love the Tesla base layer (compression top). Definitely fits like a "second skin" as they market. Much tighter that I would like...at first. I'm pretty self conscious and was going to return for a bigger size, but wanted to run and rationalized that it's supposed to be tight. It is a base after all. I threw a loose fitting T over it and It definitely stretched as my run went on to a perfect fit. Not restricting and the thin fleece lined interior was super warm. It is breathable and wicks moisture well. I think pairing them with my reflective fleece, gloves, and a hat is all I'll need for night runs.
