I went to a postpartum yoga workshop this afternoon. It was awesome. Part support group part yoga with a nice long meditation at the end (I can't be the only one who fell asleep...). I hope this becomes as popular as prenatal yoga.
Having heard about LLR for months from various sources, I've finally decided you guys are legit enough that I should ask this question.
Yes, pretty darn soft. Mine are only a few hours old but I don't plan on taking them off until I get ready for work on Monday. It's a smooth soft-but not so soft it gets caught on dry skin-it's more like super soft leather than micro suede, but it's obviously not either(!) --just trying to (badly) describe how it feels. Other than buttery. Which is how I've heard it described before.
Yes this is a great description. I hate the butter description because it sounds so...slippery? But they're super soft and stretchy and comfy. Like your favorite pair of pjs.

Crazy Thanksgiving is over! I feel like I haven't gone to work in ages. Our tree is up, DD giggles with excitement any time she hears the word Christmas, DS giggles at just anything, and it's officially freezing outside.
But my H is out of town for the week and we start daycare tomorrow for the first time ever. Please wish me allllllllll the luck.
The baby started reaching for me, like when DH goes in to comfort him and then he screams so I go in too, he turns and reaches for me. It's the sweetest thing but also kind of heart breaking that I am not home with them during the day and it makes me feel for DH.

Thanks all! Hectic dash to get out the door aside, daycare was, by all accounts, awesome. And this has been one of the chillest nights for both kids. I don't know what voodoo is happening but I'm taking it.

I am stoked to hear this! I am hoping for a blessing in disguise result from this whole rigamarole.
I don't feel like starting a new randoms, so I'm putting this here.
I was just offered a new responsibility in my job (that I've been wanting and putting my name in for for a year now) that puts me closer to a promotion. Instead of being excited, I'm now sitting here nervous AF about messing up/looking dumb/how I'm going to do. Get it together, self, geez.
pbandj714, yay! Congrats! I think it is totally normal feel that way cause every new opportunity has a learning curve, but I know you can totally do it!
His next scheduled day is next Tuesday.😫 If DH doesn't give me break at night this week or do the majority of parenting this coming weekend, I...just....will loose it. November has not been kind to me. Between DH hunting, my dad's health concerns, and now this snow storm and DH digging out driveways at night, I'm done.
I'm sorry lady. That sounds so rough. Hopefully YH will be able to help out.
pbandj714 Congrats on the new responsibility! challenge makes you grow and makes life more exciting. They must believe you can do it if they offered it. You'll do great!
@cheeze hugs. I know it's been rough. Hang in there. I hope you get a break soon.
pbandj714 good look with the new opportunity. I'm in a similar situation at work. Applying for a position that I want, but one that slightly intimidates me.

I'm just catching up on the various threads! I'm so angry about the whole circumstance leading up to daycare. The nerve! Some people are just rude and have no couth! But I'm glad daycare was awesome. Hopefully this whole thing was a blessing in disguise.

dude, thanks. We're only 3 days in, but so far I am firmly in the blessing in disguise camp! Which is just so great.
I also really appreciate all of you, letting me vent and agreeing with me, too.
