simon, I had a huge SCH with my DD. Like it was the size of a 14w gestational sac on the ultrasound. I was on pelvic rest and bled for 16 weeks but it healed and my DD is a healthy 18 month old.
Hugs and relaxing vibes to you. So many woman have SCH and have healthy pregnancies.
simon take it as easy as you can! Did they have any tips for you?
vancitygirl I'm so glad your doctor is positive! I think that makes a huge difference.
She said try to take it easy when I can. No exercise or sex. She said the more active I am the better chance I will see spotting. I'm a teacher but I will be sitting down as often as I can!

The US tech said my SCH was pretty big too. Your story makes me feel better though! Thank you.
We have our first ultrasound today 12/2. I'm only probably 5w5d but I went to an RE for my other LOs and they wanted to see me early since this was natural. Not expecting to see much.

Had my first appointment at my OB's office. Pretty uneventful after seeing the RE. I saw one of the midwives. She didn't give me a hard time about not wanting the pap so that was nice. I will have to go to the MFM's office for my NT scan so I'm waiting for them to call me to schedule.
MrsRC-33, MrRC-37. TTC#1 since 2/13. DX: T2 diet controlled diabetic, removed multiple fibroids blocking tubes, via robotic myomectomy, hysteroscopy and D&C on 5/15. CD3 b/w normal. HSG normal after surgery. On the bench April-June 2015. NTNP indefinitely. Loss mentioned.
Had our first ultrasound (we're about 5w4d) and saw one tiny little baby growing in there. I'm sad we lost one of the embryos but so amazingly thankful to be pregnant. This definitely confirm a that we needed to transfer two even though I'm under 35 and we PGS tested them. Next Thursday we go back to see the heartbeat!

Glad you had a good appointment and one of those little embryos decided to stick around

Congrats! We are ultrasound twins:) I go back on Thursday as well.
I'm so jealous of all the ultrasounds!!! I'm anxious for mine and it isn't for a week and a half!
Right??? Being a regular OB patient now is no fun. They asked me if I wanted to join the "centering" group for all my prenatal appointments which is like group appointments. No dammit. Don't you know I'm a special snowflake!!!!

AmazingTulip , No thanks to group appointments. I can see it now
Nurse: Everyone undress from the waist down, the doc will be in shortly to check your cervices (google tells me this is the plural of cervix, the more your know).
Our little blob is growing right on track!! Heart beat is 140, which she said was good. Cue relief. Now we're waiting to see the RE one last time and say goodbye...bittersweet!

Group appointments? What the heck is that?
ETA: I googled. It actually sounds kind of cool! This one place says the patients take their own weight and blood pressure and everyone has a few minutes alone with doc to do the HB and whatever. It's longer appointments but you have a discussion with a group. It actually is kind of like a irl, organized version of this board.

I'm sorry your other embryo didn't make it 😞
It's going to be so hard to transition to a regular OB after weekly ultrasounds at the RE! Can't wait to hear about your appointment next week.

I know my wallet will be looking forward to it! Insurance will not cover any of these ultrasounds I have with the RE. I'm guessing it's elective to them or something.

Ah yes that's true. Luckily we had money taken out for an FSA that we totally forgot about so that money is all going to RE stuff this month since we have to spend it before the end of the year.

I don't feel great after my appt. my dr is so busy and I forgot how annoyingly slow the office is. When I finally got pulled back, they had a tech do an US. I said I'm only 6 weeks. We only saw a sac, no fetal pole. She said the sac is hard to measure, but I saw it was measuring in the 7th week on the screen. They had me wait for my OB, but after being gone for a 2 hr lunch already, I left after awhile because I needed to get back to work. So he is supposed to call me. I know it doesn't mean I'm out, but it seems reminiscent of my BO. I'm hoping that when he calls, I can push up my next appt to next week so I can just find out if it's viable.

ldubhawksfan, I'm sorry that your appointment ran for so long and you left with no answers. I hope your OB gets back to you pronto and give you a repeat ultrasound.
