Fml he slept for less than 30 minutes (till 12:35) since then (almost an hour) he's just been screaming unless I'm holding him. He's obviously tired. Wtf?! I need a break!! I've tried letting him cry (he just went beserk and wouldn't calm down) and I've tried both nursing and rocking but the moment I put him down he jumps back up. I am all touched out I just need a break.
joi922 I'm sorry about your coworker that sucks. And I'm kind of feeling the same way about christmas. Our living room still isn't done so I just don't feel like setting up the tree or anything. I waver between wanting to do all the baking and wanting to just pretend Christmas isn't happening. Hugs. It's been a hard year for a lot of people.
Hi all, i have been trying to lessen my screen time cuz, i want to sleep better. I avoid my screen as much as possible when N is awake, and find if i use it before bed i stay up too late and feel hungover in the morning. I Hope everyone is well, you have all been in my thoughts.
Today is a freaking awesome day for me. I finally got my offer letter. Ever since I had gotten the second call I had been second guessing that I wrote the salary down correctly. Well I freaking did. It's a decent increase over what I was making at the last place. I also just finished one class entirely. I only have one test left that I will take Friday. I wish it opened up before 8am, but I'll take it at some point when M is sleeping.
I'm with @janetheconquerer and so excited for Christmas. I think since we're really not focusing on gifts this year due to money I'm just focusing more on the family and celebrating. We're going to a Christmas parade on Saturday, and I'm thinking of when I'll have our niece come over and decorate ornaments. It's been our tradition for about 4 or 5 years now. I'm also thinking of the ornament I'll make for family this year. I'm also going to take a page from tuscanlatte's book and do baking for those I would normally buy a gift for, but can't afford to this year.
Guys were going to on charleys for dinner which isn't a huge deal but it's Wednesday and they have free pie on Wednesday. And today is a day deserving of pie.

Thanks for the shout out packmomma. This week has been crazy! Things are spiraling again with DS1, work is busy, I'm trying to plan a launch party for my norwex, schedule time with the consulting prof for my potential new teaching gig (which won't start until February but I have to create course outline and lesson plans and have no clue what I'm doing), we are renovating the basement so I've been painting the last couple of nights and just got asked to do another side painting job next week, plus I'm on call for work starting tomorrow for a week for a part of the agency I know nothing about.....so I'm feeling overwhelmed! Lol! But life is good!

M JUST started taking an interest in books the past few days. Before that he was definitely flipping out or squirming away or throwing the book whenever we tried to read one. But I definitely agree, literacy and language development happens throughout regular daily life over here. LOTS of talking and singing happening here! M does not have many words yet, but is 'talking' all the time! Lol

I'm a little bummed— we were officially offered the larger apartment below us— for $600 more per month than they had told us they were thinking. There's no way we can afford it, which we told them. It's also a lot of space, but a very funky space (one room has linoleum flooring on the wall!) and just not worth what they are asking even if we could afford it—apartments in our area at the rate they are asking are serious luxury apartments. So, we're looking for a new place. But MH did go on streeteasy and see about a half dozen promising listings in our neighborhood that he reached out to, so hopefully we find something.
