I had to shop for a baby shower gift yesterday. I may or may not been throwing serious shade over some of her selections.
$80 diaper pail? I mean come on. In the words of megrae12..."for that price it better change the damn diaper for you".
Hahah. I still stand by that!
My FFFC: Changing W's diaper has turned into a wrestling match of epic proportions, so, I put it off as long as possible. If he could talk, I'm sure he would say changing his diaper is a violation of the Geneva Convention.

*zips up flame suit*
We cover K with a blanket at bedtime. We've been doing it for two months now.
We only used crocheted breathable baby blankets. Her arms are out and we lay it so it starts below her armpits. Her room gets cold as fuck because of the crappy heat zoning and even with two pairs of pjs and a sleep sack she was waking up because she was cold. I also think the weight of the blanket helps her sleep soundly.
I super don't want to be in my brother's wedding. After this I only have 1 friend left who would even potentially have me in a wedding and I am doing a happy dance that I may never have to be in another wedding!

After being in my BFFs wedding I completely understand this sentiment. It was more exhausting and stressful then my own wedding.

I bitch a lot about my BILs not including us (me, hubby, kids) in their weddings but secretly on the inside I do a happy dance and I know that I would still be bitching if I was in the wedding. #hypocrite

I am marveling at how your babies still fit in baby tubs or sit still long enough to use them. I kick that shit to the curb the second they can sit without assistance, even earlier this time around!

K loves the tub. She loves to splash and play with her toys. She's a water sign, so I guess it's in her nature. She went through a phase where she would try to get out and stand up, so we removed the seat in the baby tub and she lost her mind because it was hard to sit in. We have the fisher price 4 in 1 tub so it grows with your kid and we are still on stage 3. Also, she's a peanut so that helps.
We haven't used the baby tub since like 4 months... for awhile I took her in the bath or shower with me, but now she goes in the big tub herself. She loves it but we have to work on remaining semi-calm on the tub and being vigilant with no climbing in the tub. She loves the faucet and always wants to get it.
I still use the baby tub, but it's pretty large. It's just easier even though he can sit unassisted just fine.
I am so uncomfortable in my skin and clothes. I weigh a little less than pre-pregnancy, but nothing fits right and I have a belly now. Yet I'm too tired and too lazy to do anything about it.
Every school year I come in blazing. I work my butt off for a few months and then I lose all steam and crash hard. My motivation is gone and I'd rather fuck around on the internet all day.

My first was smaller than K, my second is not much bigger, and I still can't imagine it! My kids are both fish and love bathtime, I guess that is why it is hard to confine them to a tiny tub haha. Starting around 2 months I would just lay C in the tub with her sister and only put an inch or two of water in the tub, I've never seen a kid so happy in my entire life.

I consider myself a pretty laid back parent, but, (this is probably my FTM self talking) I would be iffy about putting my kid just lying in the tub with it's sibling. All I could picture is the bigger one stepping on or drowning the little one. lol.

I think this would depend on the sibling in question. I have a lot of memories (and pictures) of being bathed not only with my brother but also our neighbors. I have no idea how young it started though.

We have a no standing in the bathtub rule. I have a scar on my chin from when I was about DD1's age that proves that is a recipe for disaster.

DD1's favorite thing to do at bathtime right now is to point her finger at DD2 and shake it while yelling "NO, baby sister! SIT DOWN! No stand in bathtub!" It is amazing.

FFFC: I have almost walked out on my job many, many times this week. I am working on nursing schools, continuing to apply to new jobs, and *gulp* I have decided next week at my annual review to ask for part-time employment or bust.
He loves the big bath. He splashes and has water toys. I'm just being lazy. Plus than I have to clean the tub more often
I am confused by this one. Is your shower separate from the tub?
No. We have shower doors attached to our tub so it's a bit difficult getting in and out and bending. His baby tub I put it on top of the bathroom sink counter.

So you're saying i can have more kids and just have the older ones parent the younger ones? GENIUS!!!

I feel your pain. We have a tiny bathroom and shower doors too. When I say tiny, I mean that you can't stand straight at the sink without hitting the toilet with your legs. I almost threw my back out yesterday while giving her a bath. Thankfully bath time is MH's job 95% of the time.

We ditched it sooner this time too. Though not that early. My oldest is crazy in the tub lol. They love having baths together now that she can sit and not get knocked over by her sister. They splash and splash and laugh and laugh.

I never had a baby bathtub. I just used one of those sponges you put in the bottom of the kitchen sink. Now we give DS the choice: do you want to take a bath with your sister or take a shower? If he chooses shower then she gets a bath in the kitchen sink still. She does like to splash so there's a bit of a mess, but it's easy to clean up. And I also use a crocheted baby blanket for A at night. It gets so cold and she doesn't move a lot.

If its the ubbi pail, it is totally worth it to me (although its $69.99 on amazon). We ended up replacing our plastic diaper genie with one and it makes a 100% difference in our nursery.
