Ridley got up on her knees and pushed herself forward!!!! Then quickly faceplanted.
She couldn't get her belly up off the floor, and I think it'll be a while until she's strong enough since she's so fat. But progress! I'm so excited for her!
Ridley just ate half a grilled cheese sandwich and screamed when it was gone. She probably would have eaten the whole thing if I had more patience and wasn't hungry myself. Lol i think she liked it more than the peanut butter sandwich.
Both boys were running fevers yesterday. No high temps today but neither one seems to be feeling good. That's about it here. That and the fact that I'm up to my ears in laundry! Haha! It's absolutely amazing how much laundry 2 adults and 2 small children can create!

Glad they don't still have fevers. Hopefully they're feeling better tomorrow.

She's clearly doing much better than ds at that whole chewing thing. Although ds is showing improvement. The big problem right now is he wants to feed himself everything but seriously lacks the coordination so then he gets super frustrated.

Yeah, Ridley can't feed herself to save her life. No coordination at all. Though today she was able to pick up a piece of bell pepper off her tray and get it to her mouth, so progress. But anything small she can't do. She just grabs at my hands and pulls them to her face. Not necessarily her mouth, just toward her face. Lol

I'm still impressed, DS can't figure out the spoon i'm putting in his mouth for him lol

I don't even bother with spoons. She does terrible with pureed foods and spoons. TERRIBLE.

I'm having all the feels. Last night was Is' first night in her crib/room. She was up once at two so no better or worse than in her PNP. Tonight I am sleeping in my room alone (DW sleeps downstairs weeknights so she doesn't hear the baby). This is so odd. Such a milestone but I feel like time is flying by. She's 6 months plus a week and is sitting up unassisted. I feel like she's changing so quickly.
In TMI news I got my first postpartum period last week, so it explains why I'm all emotional and wanting to have another now... though I don't actually want the two under two spacing my uterus is arguing with my brain.
My coffee tastes extra good this morning. Mmm. Wish I knew why.
Stroller is supposed to get here today, but it'll probably show up when I'm putting her down for a nap and they'll need a signature or something. I hope that's not the case but it seems like ups always wants signatures lately.
Ds has been going to bed earlier and getting up Earlier for the last week. I think I might just have to accept that I won't sleep past 6am ever again lol

Which stroller did you decide on?
Chicco Liteweight. I put a link to it in the stroller thread if you're curious.

DD did this too! She has just moved herself to a 6:30 bedtime and wake up once she dropped her third nap. ☕️

Well, water is a huge hit. Now let's just hope she can figure out how to use a sippy cup.
You night be surprised. I have ds a sippy cup last night and he drank from it like he's been doing it all his life. Of course today he will probably act like he's never seen it before....😂

So far she just chews on the spout, and the 360 was a hard pass. But chewing on it still gets her water, so we'll see if she ever sucks on it. She doesn't suck on bottles either, she just chews on those as well. So I'm not hopeful. Ideally she'll figure out the 360, though.

Julian just chewed on the spout for the first few months after we introduced him to sippy cups. He eventually figured it out, and he got the hang of the 360s.
I have a super high drug tolerance. Like ours almost comical the high doses of everything I need for it to even touch me. And yet I seem to have a super high sensitivity to caffeine. I had a big cup of coffee this morning and I'm SOOOOO hyper still, 6 hours later. It's insane. I might have to switch to decaf. I don't really need it for the caffeine anyways.
Ugh. I would much rather be a little sleepy and be able to nap when Ridley naps than be awake and stuck in bed with her because she sucks at sleeping alone and I like the snuggles too much to consistently let her.
If it makes you feel better teraiin I just don't have time to help ds2 sit better so he's been hanging out on the floor on his tummy and he's learning how to get around by rolling and spinning. He's almost starting to pull himself forward. So leaving them to learn on their own is not all bad. Haha
