I just found out my supervisor was talking to my boss about a low key Xmas party for the company next week on his little boat for the parade. This sounds like a nightmare!! Finding a babysitter for the night, not drinking in front of all my coworkers, and MS on a f'ing boat!!!! Can't we just have lunch like a normal company?! I was actually relieved when I didn't think there was one planned!
Can you just be like I can't get a sitter on such short notice, sorry, can't make it
Probably will be the case. I'm just kind of bummed that my bosses procrastinating on a plan that I won't attend now for the second year (last year I was on Mat leave). It's a super small company so it's kind of awkward to decline but oh well

Browsing FB and all of the damn instant pot posts from the group I'm in is making me f'ing hungry! I'm going to have to turn off notifications for the group until this pregnancy is over!

So pregnancy brain totally got the best of me, in the worst way. I posted Saturday about the trunk show I did at my girlfriend's house and got really sick. Well...in my rush to get home and to my own bathroom, I THREW AWAY A BAG WITH A $120 ORDER INSIDE!
It was my BFF's order and I was keeping it aside so I could take it to her, and I accidentally threw it in the trash. I didn't realize it until yesterday, and it was too late. Now I have to replace the whole order for her. Womp, womp.
If it makes you feel any better I recently threw my Fitbit away and I wasn't even pregnant yet. Who does that?!
ETA: actually I was 5 weeks pregnant 😳 man the pregnant brain is real.

My pressure cooker (a fancy electric one that also does slow cooking and other functions - so maybe it's an instant pot) is my favorite kitchen gadget.

Ohh that sounds not so good. I'd def 'already have plans'.

I love the sauté function on mine. Mine has the ability to slow cook and make yogurt (or proof bread). Also, I've never made better rice in my life. If only for that, the instant pot is a miracle worker!!

Man, I'd been wanting JJ and now this post! I actually only had it for the first time like...two days after I found out I was pregnant. It's maybe 3 miles from our house, yet they don't deliver here. I was thinking about it for dinner and ended up going to Panera with a friend. I was going to go for the bread bowl since the one I had at McAlister's last week was disappointing, but they were out tonight....why?!?! But they had their chocolate chip cookies on the souffle warmer, so I did get one of those...

Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree, your leaves are very tasty. I found the Reese's trees I bought a week ago and decided to indulge myself.
I bought a few to share with my son... cause he eats like nothing (even snacks are limited) and he finally realized how amazing Reese's are. Then I kept forgetting to pull them out, theeen I ate them after he went to bed one day. Mom of the year.

I accidentally left my garage door open for 4 hours a couple afternoons ago! 🙈 Thank goodness my neighbor across the street was out and in his garage.

I just read this interesting study by the RCOG about early ultrasounds in patients prior to 10 weeks. I'm nerdy and like to read things like this, maybe someone else will too.

We canceled cable and I am wishing I had it right now. I want to sit on the couch and veg out on some tv
Do you have antenna or streaming? We ditched cable years ago, but can still watch a lot through over the air, Netflix and Amazon
I've been trying to convince my husband to cut the cord for over a year, and he just won't. I keep telling him how much we could be saving, but he just can't live without live TV.

We save so much! But I swear internet just keeps increasing. We only have one provider so it sucks. It's up to $60/mo for our internet!

This was us for a long time. We ended up ditching DirecTV when we moved and just got a basic cable package from CBell, and it's only about $10 more than it would have been for just internet. I miss being able to DVR shows, but we have Chrome Cast, so I get get just about anything online and cast to the TV.

I'm paying $80/mo for just internet! We have the highest speed they offer because I WFH full time and DH WFH PT, plus all our devices, but I just cancelled both internet and TV service to go with a cheaper bundle with a different company.

With no pregnancy brain excuses because this happened 2 years ago, my H and I went out of town for the weekend....garage door wide open all weekend. Thankfully we're in a good area and the only thing that happened was a cat came in and peed on our steps!

Oh man, now I want McAllister's! We don't have one where I live but we went all the time before we moved.

I just outed myself at a meeting. It wasn't even intentional. Someone who went to a different dept came in and said she was KU. I asked when she was due and when she told me July, it just rolled out of my mouth. Ugh.

We also cut TV service and just pay for internet and then Hulu/Netflix/sling tv. H wanted sling to have network channels but we never use it.

+whatever to just internet and streaming. Our internet went up so we're probably close to breaking even at this point. Although, we would probably still keep Netflix and Amazon so I guess we are saving a little.
What provider do you all use that you can just get internet packages? I have been hunting for 2.5 years and TWC doesn't serve my area!
I currently have TWC and they are the worst. Customer Service hasn't been bad, but my internet is so spotty. They've been out here at least five times in the last 1.5 years, and haven't been able to resolve the issue. I just got off the phone with them cancelling. I had DirecTV for television which I cancelled Monday. We're getting a bundle from Cincinnati Bell that starts on Monday.
TWC is the WORST. I have trouble with both my internet and cable all the time and their customer service is painful.
For a while I had to call them 4 nights a week for something not working and it was always a 90+ minutes ordeal. Now I just have to remember to reboot their equipment ever 1.5 weeks or so. So annoying.
