My babies just took an hour+ nap AT THE SAME TIME. It was amazing. Singleton parents must get so much done!
Also, someone on here (@feegan?) had "way to go Dad" shirts. Where do I get those?
We do. And we don't. We do a lot of laundry while watching trashy tv like vampire diaries and teen mom 😝
LOL. To an extent I'm just joking. I have nannied in the past and I know how all-consuming even 1 baby can be. But also, sometimes when people on my BMB complain about their babies who only nap for 45 minutes at a time, I'm sitting here thinking, "OMG 45 minutes without any awake babies?! Incredible!"

Oh believe me. I am soaking up every second of having just one. Honestly she's relatively easy at 2 years old. I'll get a good hour and a half here now with no baby. I'm going to miss my clean house come April when I can only assume my life of leisure is over and all hell breaks lose.

MH and I were just discussing how hard it is for us to relate to singleton parents right now. So much so that when I met a mom in our neighborhood with twins the same age, he bent over backwards to accommodate a play date with them.
I know it'll get better. But right now I have no patience for singleton parents (which is part of the reason I barely talk to my BF right now, I just can't)

I'm having one of those nights where it is just really challenging to have twins. Both of them have just wanted to be held since about 3pm but I can't really hold both at the same time for 4 hours straight... so whoever wasn't being held has been screaming. G just finished a growth spurt and M just started one, so I've basically been constantly feeding for a week. And the dog is acting up which doesn't help. And I'm frustrated with my mom. And I'm starving because I haven't had any free hands to eat.
H just got home and I basically threw the kids at him.

I hope you followed it up with a glass of wine. Hugs, mama. You'll get through this challenge!

Thanks. No wine, but candy and cookies and guacamole with a whole bag of chips. (And by guacamole I mean avocado with lemon juice, salt, & pepper because we're out of jalapeño and I was too lazy to cut an onion.)
Now I'm going to drink my tea and read my book while pumping.

I secretly loved a good power hour pumping session. And I mostly just mash an avocado with salt because I don't give a shit Enjoy!!!

Yeah I actually really enjoy my nightly pumping session... I have two hands free to eat or read or play on my phone guilt-free. But I only pump once a day, I'm sure I would feel very differently if I was pumping more.

So due to a complicated combination of events, it seems I may be alone with the babies for much of the next 2 days and possibly one night. I have never done more than 5 hours before.

New plan: I wrangled two friends into coming over tomorrow, and then I'm taking the babies to my great grandma's house.
Someday the idea of spending time alone with my own children will stop being terrifying, right?
Yes. MHs first couple business trips had me terrified. Now I'm ok with the kids all day but try to get someone to come over for help with bedtime and/or to sit here while they sleep so I can run to the store or get beer or.. well literally to get out of the house and breathe, it's necessary.
R&G had their 15m checkup today. I took them alone and they got shots . I may leave work early to let my back and belly recover from pinning and then comforting two very upset kids.

I spent 4 nights alone with my four kids, it was not pleasant. I feel the same as you, one of these days I'll enjoy spending time alone with my kids... but I don't think it'll be for a few years! It takes a village right?
