Popping in- oh my gosh so many PoMs to be! @nic1232, river, even though everyone assumes twin pregnancy equals bedrest, that is so very rarely the case. Nowadays it is only recommended for a handful of very specific conditions- you will most likely not have to go on bedrest.
Thank you for this! I need to reread my multiples book and get out of my own head!

Yes bedrest is not recommend all that often. You are more likely to be put on work restrictions or being asked to putz around the house more than going out. I worked until the day my water broke with the triplets, 34 weeks on the nose. I had a 10 pound weight lifting restriction and that was it. I also didn't drive myself anywhere starting in March. More because a jackass hit my car and totaled it than me being told not to, but it made people feel better that I wasn't by a steering wheel or as close to the air bags.
Me: 30 DH: 29; Married: September, 2010 TTC #1: April 2013 Benched: May 2013 Cancer(DH) Off the Bench: September 2014 July 2015 ER low sperm count and motility(radiation side effect). FET September 1,2015. BFP 9/9/15.- 3 on the way.
Can I get some insight/schooling on this: my twins are both girls (separate placentas and sacs) and at my AS, the tech said something (something to do with separate sacs) that prompted me to say that there was still a chance that they could still be identical, to which she replied that when there's 2 placentas and sacs, that it means fraternal? Am I wrong in thinking they could still be identical?
LydiaDeetz No, you are correct. The split would have to happen really early, but it is possible. I had an u/s tech say the same thing. Kind of annoyed me.
Week/Team/Fruit: 11w4d/Team finding out/a couple of limes. Due date June 24th DVMmomma
Appointments this week: None this week
Symptoms: The nausea seems to be chilling out, thankfully. Exhausted and ready for some of that 2nd tri energy (although I don't remember feeling energized until about 20 weeks last pregnancy)
Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm still having ups and downs with the news of twins. We've always planned for just two. One day I'll feel like I've got my head wrapped around the idea of 3 (total) and then other days it just hits me again - Like when my husband mentioned we consider me increasing work to 5 days a week to make daycare worth the cost. So many emotions. I think this is just going to take a lot more time for us to process. We are of course excited - it just doesn't feel real. Sorry for the novel!
GTKY: We have one pet - Madden. My first babe. He's a 10 year old shih tzu .
lotusbee- Yepp twins can take a while to sink in! I stilll have days I'm like WTF am I gonna do with two babies!! That's why this board is here though...to help is from BTDT mommas.
lotusbee, Squishy and I are right there with you on only having ever wanted two kids. Im 12 hours away from committing to a minivan for petes sake. I swore up and down I would NEVER drive a minivan. Even just like 2 weeks ago I was saying that. It's terrible. If you're feeling down on yourself for the ups and downs, don't. I honestly rarely have ups about the whole thing- even now 19 weeks in. And I've given up faking excited/thrilled/happy when people tell me how awesome it is I have twins coming. Because so far, I don't feel it. I will then they're here I'm sure. But for now, it just is what it is.

So I went to the OB today and asked that he measure my cervix again since it was on the shorter side last week. Sure enough it shortened since then. I'm not below 2.5 yet but I was at 2.6. So I'm now on modified bed rest and we're going to wait and see what happens. I hope this is enough to get it stable or maybe even to lengthen. If not then a cerclage may be in my future. I'm honestly relieved to be off work. It was getting pretty rough already and it was a struggle to get through the day, even with modifications I had already arranged at work. I do hate having loose ends. I was trying to wrap things up by winter break and had most of it done but still had some meetings pending. Luckily my co-workers are amazing and I was able to get my meetings covered. Now to focus on keeping these 3 boys in for as long as possible.

I had a lot of the same feelings while pregnant. It's a lot to take in when you have a toddler at home. During the last few months of pregnancy, I cried a lot about not being able to be the best mom to our toddler and that we made a mistake (ours were spontaneous too so it's not like we could have changed things) and shouldn't have had kids so close together. It's all normal feelings. But I do have to say that we're now 3.5 months in with the twins, our 23 month old, and our minivan and it's great! Yes, it's hard and overwhelming sometimes and the logistics to do everything take a bit longer to figure out but we are surviving and even sometimes enjoying it. It's only going to get better!
fightersince83, I hope bed rest does the trick for you. I'm glad you're relieved about the situation.
mc13, it's so nice to hear a positive story less than four months in! With a toddler, no less! I'm lurk on another multiples forum, and there's almost a board culture of doom and gloom.
Grrr....at the OB and BOTH babes are breech now! Still have good fluid so hopefully they turn. Also B is now on the bottom!!! Is that much change/movement normal at 31 weeks!
@jacks605 IIRC, R&G were still moving around at that stage and for a couple of weeks thereafter. Not sure about B moving to the bottom. That just sounds weird. Mine were both transverse yesterday, so I'm really hoping bottom baby at least turns head down.

mine moved from head down to transverse/borderline breech. ugh.
Just found out that my OB won't require twice weekly appointments after 34 weeks like last time. I guess I get special dispensation for my second unremarkable twin pregnancy.

I keep forgetting you've got twins on twins! So crazy.SaveSave
