Milestones: Twice now he has stood on his own for about 5 seconds. He had started giving kisses. And he will play peekaboo around the chair sometimes. (This last mental leap was a bitch to get through but it did come with some pretty fun new skills.)
Challenges: He's a total sassypants lately. He watches for my reaction when doing something he knows he shouldn't. And he bites when I take him away from something he wants.
Funny/cute story: We tried clementines for the first time a couple days ago. This kid likes everything he can eat, but he acted as though this was pure gold, he could not get enough.
How are you? I'm good. Nothing to report.
QOTW: Winter? I hate it. All of it. Except for sweaters and blankets and all things Christmas.
Milestones: He pulls himself up and is trying to cruise. Cutting his top teeth.
Challenges: Like you @tkford, W is a sass pants. He just smiles this truly coniving smile when I tell him no. It's like he knows he cant get in real trouble because he is a baby and cute. It's both hilarious and frightening because he is already thinking. I'm doomed for todderlerhood, arent I?
Funny/cute story: I'm not sure that it is cute, but it's funny. W HATES not being able to do things. Today was his 9 month appointment and he pitched a living fit about holding still for the dr to check his ears. You would have thought we were killing him. As soon as she was done, he sat up and smiled at himself in the mirror.
How are you? I'm ok. Nervous about introducing more oats to W. Dr wants me to bake something with aots in it and see if he has reaction. I dont really want to. I cant handle watching him puke.
QOTW: Holy crap it's December already! What's your favorite thing about winter? Least favorite? Ummm....we dont get much of a winter, but I do love having humidity at 40% rather than 100%. Makes like enjoyable even if it's much colder.
Milestones: She is really getting the hang of sitting and she wants to do it all the time. Also we are in the process of weaning to formula and it has been going so so.
Challenges: She has been pretty fussy lately so not sure if its the switch to formula or she is just being a baby. I put her to bed at 6:30 the other night because she was being such a big crank. Also she still really hasn't laughed. Not overly concerned but will probably bring it up next month if it still hasn't happened. She does respond to us when we call her name and does react with smiles, I am just a worryier sometimes.
Funny/cute story: I'm pretty sure my co-workers are obsessed with her. They always request that I bring her to work and she completely hams it up when she is here. Gives them kisses and big smiles. They have completely started spoiling her to with buying her all the outfits, etc. LOL. She also LOVES the dogs and will almost jump out of my arms to get to them.
How are you? Ok. Holidays have been hard but I am excited since our rainbow baby is here. I am overly anxious at times about every little thing with her but I am hoping that gets better.
QOTW: Holy crap it's December already! What's your favorite thing about winter? Least favorite? Winter? I am in South Texas so we don't have winter. But the one thing I do love when it gets to our lowest of 50 is all the cute winter clothes! Least favorite is I can't do much on the water when its winter and we love the beach and boating.

Milestones: maybe teething. Baby boy has visable tooth buds, both bottom ones. Baby girl is showing more symptoms but not as much is seen. Baby girl is really trying to roll from back to tummy. She arches her back and stretches her neck. I at least hope its her trying to roll over. Bit I am not sure what she will do if she succeeds. She hates her belly and is not so great at using her arms to help prop ber up. Both babies are now giggling. So cute!!
Challenges: not much sleeping during the day. So its hard to do what has to get done. But I just have to do it when they are awake and hope they don't complain too much.
Funny/cute story: I always find this hard to remember. They are starting to pay more attention to each other, baby girl smiles all the time at baby boy, he however seems to be a bit indifferent. Which is funny because he is always first to smile.
How are you? Doing ok. Still feel overwhelmed when I have much more to do then the normal, sadly thats often on the weekend when we want to get out and about. But I am doing my best to control it, and I try not to let it stop me from doing what I want, or what I have to do. Tomorrow I have to get out of the house by 9:15. I know that doesn't sound too bad. But typically the babies wake up for a bottle at 6 then go back to sleep until 830 or 9. And organising that on my own having them dressed and stroller set up. Man its so much work.
QOTW: Holy crap it's December already! What's your favorite thing about winter? Least favorite? Winter. ... I am not a fan. I like snow if I can watch it from a warm window. And maybe a short walk in it. But I hate the cold. I am always cold once fall hits until summer.

Age: 4 months
Milestones: he is grabbing things more and babbling up a storm
Challenges: ugh we have recently had a terrible experience at daycare. Last Friday another family took (stole) our car seat instead of theirs. Then they refused to return it!! I was stranded at daycare with no way to get my baby home. I had to go out and buy a new car seat.
The other parents are very unapologetic about it even after returning our seat back to us. They basically said "sorry, but we aren't really that sorry" and told us we should have just used their seat and strapped it into our car with the seatbelt and no base for the weekend. Um, no... as a person who has recently been in a car accident that (although I know it was an option) was something I wasn't comfortable with.
We are trying to get a resolution with daycare and I have a call into the COO of the franchise.
S is great though, no challenges there.
Funny/cute story: S has been talking to me while we are in the car. I will say something and he babbles back at me.
How are you? Other than the car seat drama one of our kitties had to be out to sleep over the weekend and it is very hard on my heart. Then the ILs came the day after and they expect us to smile and be happy no matter what. Ugh, it was an awful weekend.
QOTW: Holy crap it's December already! What's your favorite thing about winter? Least favorite? I hate winter but I enjoy wearing hoodies and other winter clothes.
sarcaztic10 oh man, you've had quite a ride lately. I'm so sorry about your kitty. And I hope you get the car seat issue resolved soon. How frustrating.
