I just got a prescription for Wellbutrin on Friday from my neurologist. Ever since my MS diagnosis, I have been sinking further and further into depression and finally got up the courage to say something about it. I took my first dose (150mg, once a day) this morning. Anyone have any experience with it? I am really nervous about what to expect from an antidepressant, as I haven't been on one since I was a teenager.

I took Wellbutrin for about a year. It did lift me out of my depression. My psych described it as a "get up and go" type drug - basically makes you want to stop sitting around and do something. I definitely felt that. But, I also have anxiety and it ramped that up, which is a common side effect. Just something to look out for, but hopefully it's helpful for you. Let us know how it goes.
Good for you for getting help. I was on Wellbutrin for a short amount of time and it didn't end up working for me. It made me worse actually. I will say give it some time to start working as it is not an instant thing but lease let your provider know if you are having suicidal or harmful thoughts. I hope it helps you and you find some relief soon!

@xamountofwords Unfortunately, I ended up having to stop taking it because it was causing me to have awful migraines that could not be touched with OTC pain relievers. We're going to discuss more options at my next appointment in a couple of weeks.
