packmomma you gotta leave him there and let him cry.
I did. Today we just did a 30 minute drop off because we had the LLL meeting but tomorrow I'm going to try to leave him for an entire class. Last time they had to come get me though. I do just let them handle it because I know he needs to figure it out. Question: when he's screaming like that he refuses all distractions (water, crayons, tag blanket),anything you would recommend they try?
Haven't read past this. Does he like music? bubbles? When the kids are in serious tantrum mode I try and do something silly, even if it's like dancing in place then "trip & fall" and be really silly/dramatic about it. Usually makes them laugh & stop right away.
Or I just exit the room and ignore them completely. That works most times as well.
Hi. I found a lump in my boob last night after realizing it's been tender & I've been having pain in the spot for almost a week. So that's where I'm at right now. Appointment isn't until Monday.
@betweenthelines that's really scary. I'm sorry you're going through that. Fx it's nothing but a clogged duct or hormones being wonky. I have a lump in my breast that's benign so if you want to talk about what the follow up appt is let me know. Big hugs.
so my company let go a sales guy yesterday. his territory is southeast fl. I am now in charge of all his projects, from Orlando. And i am in charge of informing all his clients that he was let go and i am now their contact. Fun times today. I think i would rather be in charge of firing someone.
Awkward. So now you're doing sales and project management? I feel like that doesn't leave you time for sleep.
Hugs @betweenthelines, it's such a scary feeling. When I had a lump the doctors were really encouraging that it hurt. Bad stuff tends to not hurt. I hope you get quick, positive results.
I think we need new pillows. I've been waking up with a sore neck every day for about a week, and have definitely been moving around more at night. Pillows aren't even two years old though. Is it normal for pillows to wear out so quickly?
Oh, and I am now the proud owner of a crock pot! First one ever and I have no clue what to make in it. Off to google, but anyone have any tried and true recipes? Preferably with chicken since that's what my kids will most reliably eat.
The dog woke me up barking at 1am. Both w and H slept through it. We're headed to a friends house today. She's really a friend of a friend but our kids are roughly the same age so they're going to play. Hopefully it goes well.
I went to wipe snot of M's face this morning and failed to see that it had gotten on the puzzle piece he was holding until he smacked me in the chin with it. It's awesome to get your face covered in someone else's snot before 7 am 😒
I just had a hork moment. I took off W's pajamas and realized I needed a different shirt. So I ran upstairs to get one. In that time he took off his diaper that he pooped in (I was gone maybe 5 minutes) and got poop on the door handle to his play pen, the rocking horse, and all over himself (which I didn't see at first) so I carry him upstairs and he gets shit on my clothes (even though I carried him so far away from me). Everything has now been bleach wiped and disenfected. W got an impromptu bath. And I have to find something else to wear. So gross. And now I keep looking at any dark spot on my floor thinking it could be poop. The worst
Thanks for the kind words ladies. I'm probably not dealing with this properly, as I'm kind of just panicking. I'm also sort of checking out from my own body. IDK how to explain it. I also have a nasty head cold so that isn't helping much...
