I pretty much had just introduced myself a few weeks ago. I went for my first ultrasound today and there was no fetus. It's a "blighted ovum"--which I've read about before and my doctor assured me that it's fairly common and just one of those things. I'm taking medicine this weekend to induce a "miscarriage". Very sad, but looking forward to moving on.
Has anyone had a blighted ovum before? And gotten pregnant again?

I'm so sorry for your loss.
I had a BO during my MMC. It is very common; I think I read that 50% of miscarriages are BO. I had a really hard time with it because I struggled with this idea that it wasn't a "baby" and that was really hard for me (I hope that makes sense). Ultimately, I came to terms that it was still my first baby even though the chromosomal issues were as it was forming. And I now have my rainbow baby. I, too, took the pills to induce the miscarriage. If you have any questions please feel free to pm me.

So sorry for your loss. If they gave you painkillers to take with the medication take them! If they didn't ask for something. I took a percocet with my MMC last February. It is just strong cramps, but you dont need to suffer any extra pain during this hard time. Be kind to yourself. Creepy internet hugs to you.

Did you take the medication to induce a mc? I keep hearing its excruciating. They also gave me Tylenol 3 with codine.
