After all the talk of sleep yesterday, both of my children decided to refuse naps. 🙄 No big deal for DS1, really, but DS2? That's a bit more problematic. He catnapped, 20 minutes or so at a time, 3x yesterday. I could tell he was tired, but he'd wake himself up wailing no matter where I put him down or how. I think he was fighting gas bubbles all day. Finally got him down for the night around 8 and then he slept until 3. He's still sleeping now after going back down about 3:45. 😳
DS is 2 months old today!! (So happy 2 months to G as well, smallpotato!) We have his 2 month check up today at 10, so I'm planning to lay low for the rest of the day.
Will return with a pic at some point, if this kid ever wakes up.
Sick in bed today. DH came down with a stomach bug Sunday and I guess it's my turn now. Except I don't have the luxury of him taking care of all three kids for me. At least I only have to manage the baby and he's doing daycare dropoff and pickup. FX baby has a good day.

DS2 was fidgety all night, so sleep was not great for me. He's having a snooze now, but I need to take his (belated) 2 month pictures this morning. After that, we're going to head to DH's work to visit. I loathe city driving (i stuck with public transportation when i lived/work there), so I'm not really looking forward to the trip.
macaronmama How is it going at home with your H away?
Both kids have doctor's appts today. Checkup for DS since he never went to his well checkup this summer and 2 month shots for DD. Ugh. My dad is picking us up in an hour because no way I want to deal with two crabby kids by myself.

@kitchen so sorry about the leak! Hopefully it's something easy to fix and that the company that put in your kitchen is responsible and will pay for it
britta not good about the naps but awesome about the long sleep at night!
ladystrat good luck at your apt! And enjoy breakfast
iwantbacon good luck with the drive! I'm a city girl and am so used to it I never even think about how it can be stressful. H's family hates driving in the city.

@snuff9861 good luck! I am not good at single parenting.
C slept for 3 hours flat in the pack n play last night and then I had to wake her up after 5 hours in the rock n play. Weird that her longer stretch came second but I think it's bc of the whole flat in the crib thing. I want to start working on getting her out of the rock n play.
Just had a successful 8am dermatologist apt with the baby along for the ride. Yay for sleepy babies! Yay for none of the new things that popped up during pregnancy being anything bad. Booo for breastfeeding meaning I can't have any treatments for my stupid face sun spots other than having them frozen (owwww!) being pale and having spent most of my childhood and teenage years in the sun is definitely biting me now in my 30s.
Other than buying an egg mcmuffin, dropping all my xmas cards at the post office, and going for a run, nothing else planned for the rest of my day
That sucks about your kitchen, @kitchen. I hope it's a relatively easy fix.
Watch your Kohls account, if you have one! Someone was able to log into my Kohls account and place an order using my Kohls charge for a $360 heated massage cushion. I had two emails from just after 1am - one saying "Thanks For Your Order" and then another one saying "Sorry, we couldn't complete your order." When I went to log onto my account, it said my account was suspended because of too many failed login attempts. I was able to reset my password, but I called customer service and they deleted all my personal information and put a lock on my account so that the Fraud Department can investigate. Once the investigation is completed, I'll be able to create a new online shopping account. In the meantime, if I want to order anything online, I have to call to place my order.
The shipping address was my work address, which is where I usually have my orders sent, so that address is saved in my account. Why would someone go through the trouble of hacking into my account to charge a $360 massage cushion to my Kohls charge and have it shipped to me at work?? That doesn't make any sense.

Good morning ladies! I completely missed yesterday. I'm on all the meds for my sinus infection. I can't wait til all my doses are complete. Sudafed, Advil, Amoxicillin, and Prednisone, plus my thyroid and anxiety meds. The home nurse came yesterday and was really helpful. She told me about a counseling place in town so I don't have to drive an hour to my appointments at the other place. That's a really good thing. I have to look into them later this week.
Today I need to look at the budget for 2017 and make a few phone calls. I want to take the girls to the library in a bit since we missed story time on Monday.

Lazy morning here. It's 830 and we're all in DD'S bed lounging/sleeping/watching a movie. We have no plans today. Should run a few errands and get some stuff done for Christmas and DD'S birthday. Can't believe Christmas is next weekend, I'm so not ready.

Have been trying to catch up but haven't replied to anyone. Kept DD2 home from school today bc she was coughing so much this morning she gagged and threw up 2x but she seems fine now. I have to drive 30 mins to pickup DD1's bike from Santa this week. Was going to do it today but now I can't with DD2 home. P loves looking at the Christmas tree 🎄

Happy 2 month birthday, IJ britta! ladystrat, so glad your test came back well. @kitchen I'm glad the leak was an easy fix.
MH is at work and N is at school. G and I are doing housework today. I've folded laundry so far, and plan to do a little more laundry, clean off the dining room table, and pick up the living room.
Here are N and G from last night. N asked to hold G, so I obliged.

jwinct I'm glad they were able to stop the charges. I do roughly 90% of my shopping at Kohl's so I'll be sure to keep an eye on my account. erien22846 I hope you feel better soon! Same to you penguin129.
I took the big to church play practice and now he's actually napping at home. Baby is napping too!
I still don't understand the shit sleep. The baby hates pacis swaddles and the rock n play. He actually likes being put flat with his hands out. He puts himself to sleep and eats enough. He was up 12,2,3:30,5:45, and up for the day at like 7. He naps well during the day too. I even made sure he stayed up last night before bedtime thinking maybe he's sleeping too much in the evening. No dice.

becole how much does he hate the swaddle? Mine is not a fan and will cry and struggle in it for a long time sometimes but it does help to extend her sleep once she is too tired to fight it anymore. It can be frustrating at 2am to have to repeatedly feed her or bounce her until she stops trying to squirm out of it but I feel like it pays off.
Also those with big kids... we are getting my 2.5 yo a big bike with training wheels- 16inch. He's really good with a tricycle and has asked for a big bike from every Santa we've seen. My problem is I know nothing about bikes and I can't tell the difference between all these brands and price points and things. I want the chain to be hidden but I don't know what else to look for or how to pick.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Right now I feed him and lay him flat in the crib awake and walk out and go back to sleep. He quickly puts himself to sleep but doesn't sleep long. He has had long stretches but not often and we didn't do anything different when those happened. I was using weighted swaddles my sister gave me since it worked for her daughter. My kid would get his hands out but sleep in it but it wasn't extending his sleep. We tried for maybe the first 2 weeks of life and then I got rid of it since I figure if it's not helping, I might as well not make a habit I have to break later.
Beautiful babes and bigs everyone! DD1 has the stomach bug. I feel awful for her because she doesn't understand what's happening. I'm terrified of DD2 or I getting it. Omg. And DD2s 2 month check up is today. So I will be bringing a sick big to littles check up with shots, by myself. Woo. Hoo. Stick a fork in me, I'm done with today.

We are getting my 5 yr old a 16 inch bike and my almost 4 yr old a 14 inch bike. I would think a 16 inch would be too big for a 2.5 yr old. I picked ones that have a hand brake and coaster break. And read lots of reviews. It is stressful picking a good one that isn't too expensive.

I was about to get him a smaller one but he rode my nephews 16 inch and I didn't want him to outgrow the 14 too quickly. He's 37 inches tall. Which one did you pick? Link?
This is a terrible picture, but does anyone know which two album covers are on the left side? I know the Billy Joel one, and the other picture is just a beach pic.

Ohok he's a tall guy! My almost 4 yr old is like 40" and my 5 yr old is 44". The 14" one doesn't have a hand break but the 16" one does. They're both girls but I got these two when they were on sale for $60 each:
