Goal-setting thread - here or on Confidential Topics

Hi all.

I'd like to bring back the goal-setting thread. The intention of this thread is to set goals for ourselves, usually related to self-care and mental wellness, then check in with each other on how we're doing meeting those goals.

My question is would you rather have this thread posted here on the main (public) Mental Wellness board, or on the password-protected Confidential Topics board? I'm fine with either.

If you have any questions, just let me know. Please tag me so I see the notification.

If the tone of these threads are usually things like, "I'm going to swim on Tuesday" or "I'll be in bed by 11 three times this week," then I'd vote for keeping it here where it can help revitalize the board.

If these threads include goals like "I'm not going to immediately respond to my abusive mom's texts this week" or "I'm attending AA this week," then I it would probably be better to have on the private board?

Honestly it could be either. A lot of the goals that used to be set fell into the first category, but there were definitely goals specifically related to anxiety, EDs, etc.

ETA I'm comfortable with either option.

Hi yoshijo28! We have been slacking on the check ins and doing them more like monthly. Have you not been getting the tags?

It sounds like having the goal setting thread on the Confidential Topics board would be more comfortable for everyone and allow us to be more open. Please let me know if anyone feels strongly otherwise.
