Ellie does all of this, about 4-6 words in terms of talking. She is working on silver ware. She understands the concept but can't scoop and self feed. Hand that girl a spoon of peanut butter though and she's suddenly a spoon expert!
C isn't walking yet, but he's getting braver - I don't think it's too far off! He says mama and dada intentionally and we are working on cat. He waves when someone goes to leave and/or says bye bye. I'm trying to think of what else...

This kid of mine is crazy different from my first. She has a few 2 word phrases she uses "what this" "it's good" "hi dada" "ok dada" and it catches us off guard.
I think M is doing pretty well with milestones. He isn't walking independently yet but is taking 1-2 steps so I don't think it will be long. He is close with silveware but has a tendency to flip his spoon over just before it gets to his mouth. He has about 5-6 words...mama, dada, dog dog, up, that, and byebye. There might be a few more but that's what I can think of right now.
Izzy does all this, we've got 6-10 words: kitty, Benny(the dog), dada, hi, bye bye, dog, and some consistent sounds she uses in context: uh oh, whoops, and ahh ahh (sound I make when dogs are being naughty)

My kid is not walking or talking. She might be kinda sorta trying to say "up" but that is a stretch. She doesn't seem to care about walking yet. Never had a kid that wasn't walking at the first birthday so that's kind of weird for me! On the other hand, all my kids are late talkers so it would be weird if this kid could talk already!

In the past week EG has taken off walking. Waves byebye when she wants to. Says Momma, DaDa, and Nana, none really intentionally though. H has been worried lately that she isn't talking enough so I've been trying to work harder with her, though I know all kids develop at their own pace. And Santa will be bringing some word books also. She feeds herself with her hands and knows what a spoon is for but has far from mastered it. Peekaboo is her absolute favorite...if she gets her hands on a wipe, blanket, towel, etc., we are playing peekaboo.
I'm pretty sure A will never walk. Ok, not really. He is standing unassisted and walks with chairs/ push toys, but absolutely refuses to walk on his own. He also sits down as soon as you take his hands to walk with him. He's stubborn. He's a super fast crawler though. He babbles a lot and is maybe saying mama and dada? I don't know for sure. He loves peek a boo and giving kisses. He'll wave when it's convenient for him. I think I have a strong willed child.

Ellie says "what's this" all the time. It's her favorite phrase every time she sees something she's interested in. She can also "hi dada/mama" which is so cute.

Cam is 13 months.
We are also in the group of loving to say "what's this". He says it all day long. He babbles momma and dada but I don't really feel like he is saying it with purpose. He says shoes a lot and uh oh sometimes. Tonight he copied me and said yellow. He really babbles a ton and seems to have full blown conversations with himself. Cam started walking last week. He is quick and doesn't fall too often. He gives kisses when he feels like it, loves to clap, and has started waving.

Katy has no interest in walking but is cruising around and using the fisher price stroller to walk around. She crawls really fast though and has been a little late with some things so I'm guessing she will be late with this too. She is saying Mama with purpose, all done and bye bye. Maddie was/is a late talker but her language has just recently exploded and she will be 3 in March. Katy waves bye bye, claps, dances and knows some motions for songs like putting her hands on her head for head and shoulder, and she claps, rolls her hands and pats her legs for patty cake.

R is doing all of these. He's walking full time. He says mama, dada, hi (or hey), bye bye, bite bite, kitty, and I think he's saying 'this' now when he points at stuff. He plays peekaboo and hides from us.
Dancing! I forgot dancing. He loves it. He got this Fisher Price glow & groove beats doll for his birthday, he dances to its music and laughs the whole time.
DD has said Mama and Dada, but not much and not regularly. As far as responding to no, do you mean laugh at me and keep doing what she's doing...then yes yes she does
ETA: For a little over a week she has been able to take maybe 6 steps unassisted, but hasn't made much progress past that. Needs to work on confidence before she takes off I guess. Her sister didn't' walk until she was after one.
Ellie's favorite game is being chased. She would like for someone to chase her in circles around the dining room table for hours. We've discovered that if she's holding some kind of food the dog will pick up our slack. She excitedly ran screaming around the table for 20 minutes the other night because the dog was "chasing" her. Really he was just waiting for her to drop the animal cracker that she had in her hand.
M has learned a version of the sign for no (they have been practicing no at daycare for a couple of weeks now). Yesterday every time I picked him up and carried him by his arm pits away from something, ie dog's water, dog's kennel, dog's food, while saying no he used both hands to sign no. It is annoying and adorable all at the same time.
He also learned to shake his head no. Put on stocking cap...shake head no. Do you want to wear your Chewy sweatshirt tomorrow?...shake head no. Time for bed...shake head no.

Audrey is doing pretty well with development. She's walking like 10 ft at a time (runs with her push cart haha), is starting to self feed (I have to load the spoon), and is saying about 6 plus words, dada, mama, nana (grandma), kitty, baba, and tree. She doesn't like to copy sounds, which the pediatrician says she thinks is just a personality trait - I never like to perform on command either ;-).
She's really good with knowing routines and communicating via gestures. She signs all done and more super consistently, waves hi and bye, shakes head yes/no, and points to tell you the next steps in the sequence (routines like meal time, bed time, where to find a certain toy). My favorite thing is how much she's getting into pretend play - feeding her stuffed animals/baby, offering me tea from her cart/pouring into cups, using her tools to fix things. It's adorable and makes me realize how fast she's growing!
Luke isn't walking yet- he can stand independently and can take up to four steps when he feels like it. I don't think walking is far off. He says mama and dada but the rest is just babble. He can wave, clap, high five and play peekaboo. Oh- and he can sign "more"
I'm glad this is here. I was just coming to see how the D15 littles were doing. DD is not walking yet and I'm starting to get stressed out about it because everyone is commenting on her not walking. Ugh. Hopefully soon.

Don't let this get you stressed out. M is just now starting to take steps and will only walk about 8-10 steps unassisted and he is 14 months tomorrow. My cousin's little girl didn't walk until after 15 months and her pediatrician (we have the same one) was not worried about it since she was at least bearing weight on her legs. She'll get there when she is ready!
Thanks RoLoMa ☺ We went to h's cousin's house for Christmas dinner and they have a daughter about 3 months older than DD. They are constantly asking if she's walking and talking about how their daughter walked at 10 months we got her a walker so hopefully that will give her more confidence.

I have had a hard time with the walking thing since it seems like everyone else is walking and M isn't, despite being the oldest. I just remind myself that every kid develops differently. He cruises around everywhere with walking toys, furniture, etc. She just needs to build her confidence, like you said, and she will be going in no time!
(and keep in mind, I find that when other parents are constantly comparing, they are not always telling the truth on the development )

kida I've said this before, but it's actually very normal for kids to not walk until closer to 15 months. Anything before 12 months I would consider early walking. My kiddo isn't walking either. She just started walking while holding fingers within the last week or so. She also just started standing on her own.
Thank you obscurereference DD will let go of what she's holding on to every now and then and stand alone for a few seconds at a time, but it's few and far between so far. She does everything she's supposed to at this stage so I'm going to try not to worry until 15 months.
Don't let it get you down kida. She'll walk when she's ready and everything you're describing that she does is building her up to it. It's hard and I remember feeling frustrated because Ellie started crawling later then everyone else.
Honestly, Ellie never stops moving now. Shopping has become impossible because she has decided the cart is no good anymore and just wants to run crazily through the store.
