Not good: just had my first post pregnancy dentist appointment and had 6 cavities. Now I need to use a prescription toothpaste and have 3 appointments for fillings in the new year. Stupid hormones.
The good: I'm holding my baby while she naps and then we're going to Target for Christmas shopping.
That happened to me too, literally the exact same. I scheduled an appointment for the worst two because dentist anxiety. I about shut when they said six cavities though!
We got ice instead of snow. Like the slightest coating of ice ever, but it brought everything to a halt. I asked H to pick up DD1 from school and it took them an extra 1 hr 15 min to get home. He's annoyed at me now, oops
This is what is supposed to happen here overnight, ugh. I have no problem driving in the snow but ice freaks me out. You could be the best driver in the world and that doesn't mean shit on ice.
Speaking of dentists. I went today. No cavities for me. But she was able to peak at ds. His teeth are a hot mess.
She's sending me to a kid dentist. He's got plaque build up, decay on his front two teeth headed toward cavities, and we need to work on stopping thumb sucking. His teeth and mouth have shifted from it. .
I feel like mother of the year today.
No judgement here; we've been so bad with DS1's teeth. He's never seen a dentist (2.5 years) and if he's tantruming at bedtime we skip brushing, which happens 2-3 times a week. I can do better.
Non-helpful anecdote; I sucked my thumb until I was 9. Not sure what damage it did though because I ended up with braces for a multitude of reasons. L loves sucking his fingers and thumb and I have a feeling he's going to be a long-term thumb sucker as well.
