I stumbled upon two names tonight that I REALLY REALLY like but I'm having trouble verifying the origins (aka making sure they're real names and not made up nonsense)
1. Elowen - girl- Cornish for Elm Tree 2. Lowen - boy- Cornish for happy/joyful

I'm no expert but from what I can tell from britishbabynames.com, Elowen is a "newly created" name derived from a Cornish word. It doesn't seem to be an actual name. I could be wrong though. It's very Tolkien-esque to me.

I don't think Lowen is a name at all.
Loren is a great boy name though.
+1 to all this, except to say that I still kind of love Elowen. I've suggested it in the past, and believe bromios may have.
