J is really not well. He was up and down all night with a fever and clearly feels bad this morning. He didn't get up until almost 7:00 and was ready for a nap by 8:00. By the time I got his breathing treatment set up (like 1 or 2 minutes) he was asleep on the living room floor. Throughout all of this he's always acted like his normal self and has been active. He didn't start having fevers until last week. I'm pretty much sick with worry. I'm so glad we have his ENT appt today.
How did his appointment go? Hope he's feeling better.

Good news: My mom's bedsores have 100% healed! They were so bad she had to have surgery. One was a huge gaping hole down to the bone. There was no progress on them for over a year, so this is amazing news!
Bad News: DS has an ear infection. He had his 9-month "well" visit today. The doctor is also worried about his weight. I haven't been able to get him to eat solids all month.
ENT put a camera down his nose to his vocal cords. They only saw some irritation and excess secretions so not much to offer there.
He is aspirating though. I haven't talked his doctors yet, but there is a plan in place. Hopefully once we get that and the reflux fixed he will get well.
chatterbox, that's amazing that your Mom's pressure ulcers have healed. To go from stage 4 to 100% healed is pretty much a miracle.

We survived! I don't really know how we did, TBH. LOL. Guise.... today was HARD!
We had to pack up everything we had in the hotel the past week this morning and then get the boys to school. Then had to unload everything into the garage at the house so we could organize that and the stuff we left at the house to take to my parents'. I dropped H there to handle that and ran K to her 9 month well baby check up. Turns out girlfriend has an ear infection. Well, that explains the grumpiness! Good Lord, the last couple nights have been rough. So I run back home and H runs out to Walmart to pick up her Rx and a couple things he needed to install the thing on the back of the car to haul stuff. I'm so brain dead right now I can't even remember what it's called. In the meantime I was cleaning up crap at the house and grabbing DS2 off the bus since they had early dismissal today (last day before winter break.) Then our realtor shows up 20 minutes early while the baby is screaming and DS2 is carrying on about who knows what. The moving company didn't show up until 11:30 for our express shipment, but the realtor was ok with our stuff being in the garage. He also said the house looked good. Yassss! So it took us an hour or so after DS1 got home to pack everything up. I got choked up when we left. As much as I complained, I will miss it so much. Georgia grew on me and we built our life there... it's all my babies know.
We left around 1:15 and finally called it quits at around 8:00. We're at a Hampton Inn in NC for the night. We'll drive to DC tomorrow morning to meet up with some friends later in the day and then drive to my parents' in PA and get in late tomorrow night. I'm so over the hotel life and it may be this way for months once we get to Hawaii 😂
H and I are impressing me. We've been working together really well as a team.

Hope he (and you) get some relief soon!
It really is a miracle! Now we're hoping for another one. She was in bed for so long so these sores could heal that now she can't walk or bear any weight. But she's come this far, so I'm hopeful she can recover!!! Do you work in the medical field? Most people don't know that much about pressure ulcers.
Little guy has been wide awake for an hour! I've given up on trying to get him to sleep and we are now in the play room. He's happy as can be, just WIDE AWAKE at 4:30 in the morning!!!
LO got a Fischer price smart chair for Christmas from BIL/SIL as part of their mega gift. It's a toy I've often walked past in Target and gone WTF is that and why... but LO is absolutely obsessed with it. She can not stop playing with it.

I'm a nurse. I worked in rehab for a couple of years and then moved over to public schools. Hopefully with PT, OT, and a diet full of protein she will build her muscle mass back up. It sounds like she has a long road ahead. I hope she makes a full recovery!
We did our Christmas this morning since we will be visiting family on the actual day. J got an anywhere chair and promptly tumbled out of it. I'm pretty sure she will have a bruise on her forehead for the first time she meets most of her family.
W is sick again. We are going to the dr because he has an awful cough and chest congestion. Sigh. I hate he going to be sick on Christmas. He is miserable.

Cookies for everyone that read that.
Wow! That's a lot of work! Glad you two got it all done.
Yesterday we had a few errands to run and it was raining so hard. So I grabbed the umbrella, blanket and LOs hat. We got to the mall and of course I'm looking for his bag and that was the one thing I forgot to grab. Ugh! Of course LO decided to poop. I have nothing with me. We had to buy a diaper from the dispenser machine. I'm glad he had his bottle. #mommybrain

They have dispensers with diapers??? I've never seen these before. It would have saved me a few times haha.

My daycare lady (in-home) is on vacation for Christmas so my kids are at a center for a few days. It was $350 for two days, holy crap! My 2 year old was really clingy and anxious when I dropped her off, I am having bad mommy guilt :-(

Because K was sick two days this week and they are closed on Friday im paying a full week for only two days of care. Woof.
@pennycandy how's J doing? Hope you got some answers.
He's aspirating and his reflux isn't well controlled which probably explains all of his issues. We have a plan though so hopefully he gets well soon.
He still isn't feeling well. He has had a 102 fever since Tuesday night. I'm not sure what to do about that since the ENT didn't really offer much yesterday. She said they could admit him through the ED, but I didn't feel that was necessary. Other than being more tired and the fever, he's not much different than his normal self. I think I'll call the nurse line today. Since he has been sick for two and a half weeks now I wonder if he needs an antibiotic.

Story of my life. $325 for three days of care when J isn't sick. Lately it's more like one or two days.

Thank you for asking.
The rule for fevers that I know is take to doctor if they've had a fever for 3 days, or it cannot be controlled by meds.
Yesterday we went to have lunch in the area we lived here last year before we went back east. Then in was like an upscale outdoor shopping mall with apartments. In the year since then it's turned into a city. It's gotta be like 4 times the size of downtown at this point. It's upscale living heaven. There is a soul cycle and a peloton. And planner peeps (idk if we have any) prepare to be jelly... the first Erin Condren store and event space is opening there... not sure when it was apparently supposed to be last month but it's not yet. I cannot wait to go and spend an absurd amount of money there.

We've had to cancel Christmas dinner with dh's family Christmas day. 3 nieces, 2 families. One niece diagnosed with HFM yesterday. Her sister was sent home from school suck yesterday (not sure yet if related). Third niece goes to daycare with HFM niece... And woke up from her nap today with a fever.
So bil already has the turkey defrosting for dinner and is planning to cook. I told them we'd come pick up our dinner lol.
