somethingcleverer, what about those Paleo "brownies"? It's dates, cocoa, nuts, and maybe coconut. If you're not eating sugar and flour, they can pass for brownies.
We were snowed in all weekend (four days), and H was OOT for work for part of that. I completely caved and didn't even try to Whole30, so I'm back on Day 3 again. Yay for getting right back on?

@thisbitch at least you are still trying! I figure if it's going to be a lifestyle change I just have to keep trying after I slip up. I'm still eating way better than I was before even with giving in to cravings.
I suck at W30 this time. I keep cheating. I'm just "eating Paleo most of the time" and not W30'ing. I'm going to stay here if that's ok. Because I still want to eat this way as much as possible during the month. For today: B - veggie/egg scramble S - 1/2 of a small piece of coffee cake at a work b-day celebration because I'm weak. L - Shepherds pie, a hard boiled egg & blueberries (I'm starting to get sick of it, but have 2 servings left for the week) D - probably tuna and some veggies.
I've felt off with my eating all day. An early doctor appointment led to a late breakfast which led to a snack of almonds in place of lunch. This might have been ok except I had evening plans, so I had no dinner. So 10:00 at night and I've had three eggs, some almonds, and an apple. I need to work on planning "on the go" meals.
I ate a marshmallow dipped in cookie butter last night. It made me feel so so awful that I didn't even really enjoy it. Made it easier to get back on track with eating though.
Tonight we're having crab cakes with remoulade sauce and roasted cauliflower. I can't wait.
So MH and I have been talking about moving to being Paleo after this round of whole 30. What are the biggest differences? I think paleo can have honey and maple syrup? And goat cheese? Is that right? But is that the main difference?
I am going to re-introduce dairy right away because I don't think it affects me negatively. (Except the weight gain when I EAT ALL THE CHEESE!!!!!, so I will keep it in check) Other than that, I think I'll try legumes pretty soon. I really want some hummus.

Cheese is my problem too. I could eat SO MUCH. Too much dairy definitely has a negative effect on me, but I think 1/2 cup of greek yogurt a day will be okay.
And at this point, I mainly want to be able to put cream in my coffee and a little feta in my salad. So I'm going to definitely rein it in as well.
