Well, everyone here has been up since 6:15, so it should be a good day. 🙄
I need to go out and get gifts for my younger sister and DS1's daycare class. Depending on how these two are acting later today, it may be better if I wait until tomorrow when DS1 goes to daycare again. I'm hoping they both take decent naps so that we can do it today. Getting out of the house is so helpful for my mental state. Otherwise, I don't have plans. H and I have been going through each room and organizing and purging things, so I'll probably do some of that in the bathroom if the kids will let me.

Had a good night out at the movies. Kids were good for my mom, both were asleep when we got home at 8. Only issue was with the dog. He's really old and has issues with his hips. Can't go up stairs anymore. They were playing in the basement and forgot to close the gate at the top of the stairs and he followed them down. Couldn't get back up. My mom can't lift him (he's about 80 lbs) so he had to stay there until we got home. Well he got stressed out and peed all over the basement. So we had to clean that all up.
Plans for today are clean out the fridge, make my menus and grocery list for the next few days. Going to try and take DD to the park since it should be quite mild.

Happy Wednesday!
Today I get to run errands alone! I have a few more gifts to get today, including something for G from Santa. I realized this morning when G woke up that I didn't designate any of the presents I wrapped for him last night as being from Santa. Oops.
I caught this moment last night. G adores his big brother.
DS1 started the day by opening presents under the tree while H was starting the car... The baby slept okay but I think shots really bothered him. He was fussy. We gave Tylenol to the baby for the first time. I am team medicine. I took babe to DS1 school party yesterday. 13 two year olds, oh my.
Today is my baking day! Got to get all my cookies baked and packaged to give out. Yesterday I got my hair done, and it felt so nice to have some "me" time. My fever finally subsided, and I feel good today. The antibiotics are def doing the trick. I never want to get mastitis again. That was easily the worst.thing.ever.

I need to write my January appointments down on the calendar and make some phone calls. The calls may wait. I still need to finish the photo book. I have 3 months to fit in about 15 pictures on 2 pages. It's really hard since H is a photographer on the side. We have soooooo many pictures. Redbox codes still need to be bought and written out. We just have to figure out what to give our Aunts and Uncles. I think candy with a picture. I'll have to have H find the pics so I can order them. Getting ready to take a shower and jam to music since H is home. It is nice not to have to wait til nap or bed time.

adouces06 So glad you're finally feeling better. I've had mastitis twice and it's difficult to explain how awful it is. It's not just a sore breast and a fever. It consumes your entire body. So awful. And for me there was no warning. I'd wake in the MOTN feeling completely rotten.

Cute kids!
That is exactly how it was for me. Within an hour I went from no fever to 102 with chills and extreme body aches. I felt like a walking zombie. Literally worse than the flu.

Wrapped presents last night and hoping to finish wrapping tonight. My H is supposed to be off this week but he's 'wrapping up loose ends' yesterday and today 🙄.
I love the days when one goes down for a nap and the other wakes up. Just kidding.
I just laid DS1 down for his nap and can hear DS2 rustling around and grunting up there. I'm sure he's getting hungry. I need to sit here in silence for a minute though.
On the plus side, this is the 3rd day in a row DS1 has pooped on the potty with no issue. Hooray!
I got to daycare this morning and unpacked DS and then the owner came in and told us that the furnace is leaking all over the place and they have to call all the parents to come get their kids. So, unexpected day off for me. I love it! I was able to get all my grocery shopping done and I'm finishing wrapping a few things.
DS woke up while were were in Aldi and his expression says it all - "Where the hell am I?" LOL
I found a new playgroup to go to. It's amazing and runs every morning. However DS being himself is now sporting quite the goose egg from diving into a bookshelf. I'm almost embarrassed to go back lol.
Both kids are currently napping (please dont jinx myself) and DH just walked through the door. I'm hoping that means he can clean the kitchen and we can attempt to sort through toys to donate and then get our wrapping done.
Poof I normally have bleach blonde hair and trying to get back to my normal light brown. It's a slow process since color washes out of my processed hair.

britta does he not startle? Mine waves her arms around and smacks herself repeatedly in the face any time I attempt to put her to bed without a swaddle.

DS got his vaccines this morning. Did pretty well until about 3pm when he woke up screaming. Snoozing in my arms now, not hungry. Poor little guy. Glad I took the whole day off to comfort him. No more work til Jan 5th. So happy to work for a university, especially one that stresses work/life balance.
@snuff9861 poor guy! It sounds like your son and mine would be kindred spirits though. 😏 becole looking good sistah! @kitchen I laughed out loud. Glad for your raise. vavavictoria maybe he does? He fell asleep on the floor like that the other day and did startle, bot not awake. He used to love being tightly swaddles, but now he gets pissed if his arms are held down at all.
We just got home from a run to Walmart for the last minute gifts. I LOATHE Walmart with the fire of 1000 suns, but it's close and I knew it would have the waffle maker my little sister wants and the markers I needed to complete DS1's classroom gift. There were, of course, eleventy million people there, but it was pretty painless. Lots of lanes open so that helps.
One of our neighbors just dropped off a homemade gingerbread house for DS1 to decorate. It smells so good. I'm pumped to do it with him! He wants to know if he can eat it. 😐
My girls made glitter jar candle holders (with LED tea lights) last night for their teachers and after-school teachers. They are dry, so they just put them all in the gift bags. I need to go out and clean up my dining room table now because GLITTER EVERYWHERE. These teachers are going to hate me. LOL
