Almost sleeping baby in one arm and phone in other hand. This is about as much multitasking that will be done today. S clusterfed a ton last night and only slept for one hour stretches. She's in our room so I did ask DH to help hold her upright or swaddle her after and this morning he had the nerve to complain about how tired he is. I was like but you didn't have to be up for the hour in between getting your nipples ripped off. And my left nipple is bleeding now. Kelly mom says just keep it clean and nurse through it. Also clearly her latch could use work so maybe I'll find a breastfeeding support group next week. My parents left today but will be back on Monday. My nanny is out with my DS. I am amazed with all y'all without help. Next two days are going to be challenging unless DH steps it up. At least the pedi today when she found out about the corrective procedure I needed on the epidural site was like OMG you should not be doing ANYTHING. And S is great and healthy so no real complaints from me.
@cahistoryteacher, WineNChocolate, crimpgirl, sdgal, @whitney sending out happy, easy and quick labor thoughts to you!
I braved BJs this am and had to return some socks that were too big for baby at BRU. DH asked who I was taking with me. Nobody! The same as you when you go to soccer every week. I don't care your games are at night. The answer is I can handle all 3 every day, so get over it.
Not much planned today. Going to decorate a gingerbread house with the DS1 and DS2 after he gets up from his nap. I think I see some wine in my future tonight.
You go girl! Kid-free time away is so needed. And yes, the husbands tend to get more. (Brought to you by MH who just left for happy hour. )
legalbeagle sorry about the bloody nips. I've had that with both babies and it's not fun. Newborns suck so hard and they're kind of lazy in their latch (at least mine are). I found that I have to wait until baby opens very wide and then I basically throw the nipple in their mouth. I'm happy to say my nips are now healed 9 days out.
Thanks for the encouragement/advice! Last time with DS I cried every single time until 10 weeks and she's either a slightly better latcher or I'm just better at knowing what it should feel like but nursing is still pretty painful. I'm not sobbing so that's progress? the blood is freaky though -- didn't have that last time.
legalbeagle yeah they're ridiculous with complaining about being tired or not having eaten. I had a kid on my boob for an hour... that's why I'm tired or haven't eaten, jerk. DH has plenty of time to eat and sleep while I'm feeding LO. My nipples were bleeding in the hospital when he clustered on day 2. I had lactation come in to help with his latch. The nips killed for days after I got home. Thankfully they're not so bad now at 3 weeks.

Just finished up my appointment. Only a fingertip dilated. She did agree with me though that now that I'm in the mental state for the baby to come it could happen. If not, I'll see them at 41 weeks to discuss induction. Off to see star wars.

+1 to an inconsiderate dh. He went out today for happy hour even though he did that yesterday too. And got home acting all obnoxious. Tonight I kept calling him to get his butt home and when he did he proudly stated he wasn't drunk. I'm like good cause I need help. His response: I already took out the garbage earlier.
Only done with prime rib. But I am sure you could do this with other meat.
Oh that looks and sounds delicious. I have fresh rosemary in the yard and it's one of my favorite fresh herbs, besides basil. I'm doing a beef tenderloin tomorrow. If it's not already marinated in something (might be) I may try this. Thanks!
