Here's a quick update. I'm still looking for a new job. Probably won't happen before I go back to work in February. That one job that I was interviewing for ghosted me. Super weird. They didn't hire anyone for the position either, so who knows what the fuck happened there. I found my dream house. We just sold our house and are moving at the end of January.
My baby is amazing. She's a unicorn like her sister. Sleeps 10-12 hours a night (which I am enjoying until that pesky object permanence kicks in). She doesn't fuss. She just started really interacting with us by having her baby conversations. Her sister is amazing as well. The first 2 weeks were the worst. She had a sleep regression and we failed at sleep training. Not sure why I thought after 2 years that CIO would be a good idea. I guess it's because the people who were super for it swore by it. I didn't have that experience. What worked for me was the Sleep Lady method in Good Night Sleep Tight. Took 2 weeks, but we were gradually able to get to the point where I could read a story, tuck her in, and leave the room. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in a low key method with little to no crying. DD1 has been a great big sister. Zero jealousy. The terrible twos are kicking in, so she is tantruming more. Not sure if it's related to the new baby, but considering she is super into her sister, I am thinking it is just the timing of her being 2. DD2 is growing like crazy. She's growing out of her 3 month clothes now. She also is definitely establishing her daytime sleeping patterns. I can sort of plan my day around them.
That's pretty much it. I have just been super into hanging with my baby. I couldn't log into the Tapatalk app (still can't) for some reason, so this is the first opportunity I have gotten to log on the computer and check in.
