We had a pretty good day. W woke up at 6 but then nursed down next to me for another 2 hours. The pain has been better today but still bad. I've been surprised that the hydrocodone don't seem to be getting rid of the pain that well. W has been excited for presents today and has been pretty cute running from one thing to the next. We've hung out in the livingroom all day which has been awesome. Doctor who is on tonight so H and I are going to watch and cuddle tonight. We've been so distant/busy/stressed lately that I think it will do us some good.

Hey guys! I'm back after dinner at my SIL's. We survived! Lol. With how things have been lately with DS1 I wasn't sure what to expected during the holidays. He did pretty great so far. Bought us all 'matching' shoes(same kind of shoe) for the whole family. The ones he got for DS2 probably won't fit for like two years, but I guess they were the smallest size he could get in this particular style of shoe. I am impressed!

Good day even though M was out later than I would have liked. Gathering at in laws for extended family started at 6,but we went over at 3 to visit with close family. Once the extended family got there we basically rushed the dirty Santa swap and then left. M was spoiled rotten, we've already decided on a few toys that are getting put back for later. So. Many. Toys. In. My. House.
So I've been having some back pain for a while now. I intend to see a doctor and chiropractor once I have insurance again, but that won't be until February. It's in the middle to upper back area. By the end of the day I'm hurting pretty bad. Does anyone have experience with this type of back pain? I'm hoping there are exercises I can do to help relieve some of the pain.
packmomma, I'm so sorry about your sister. A loss is hard at any time, but the holidays have a way of magnifying things.
@janetheconquerer, I'm sorry your H dropped the ball and that this holiday hasn't been what you had hoped in so many ways. I'm also sorry that he doesn't get it. That can be the most frustrating part. I hope he gets a clue and is able to make it up to you somehow. Did your kids enjoy opening presents?
@mrspanpan, So glad that J seems to be on the mend today and that you didn't have to miss out on Christmas celebrations.
shellyr How is C doing today? I hope it's not conjunctivitis!
ampaints Have you tried heating pads for the back pain or massage? Is it constant pain or does it come and go?
Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to all who celebrate!
I'm still strugging with pain today. I was doing a bit better but then I tried to cut back on pain meds and that was a mistake. So I've come to my senses and I'm back on the percocet. I also can't believe how much abdominal swelling I have. I seriously look 5 months pregnant again. I wasn't expecting that at all and I'm hoping it goes down enough to fit into my work clothes next week.
We went to a holiday gathering at a neighbor's house today. It was nice to get out of the house and spend some time with friends. We also opened gifts for the second night of Hanukkah tonight. DH got me Norah Jones tickets for the spring so I'm looking forward to that. Considering he's not very good about gifts, I was pleasantly surprised.
DH's sister and her family are coming to visit tomorrow and staying for the week. I'm not quite sure how this is going to go since I'm not really up to doing much. We'll see.
I had the monitor last night and W didn't wake up once! And he slept in about 30 ish minutes. We're meeting ampaints this morning for breakfast and a play date and H is probably going to sleep the entire time we're gone. He needs/deserves it.
