ksyknelvr73 if it makes you feel any better, DH thought he was being funny laying in DS' crib with him today. The crib broke. DH told me it wasn't bad, but the whole side was snapped off. My father is currently upstairs using zip ties to rig it back together for the night so DS can sleep. Awesome sauce.
That sounds like something my H would do too. What a bummer!!! That sounds pretty similar to our scenario...the wood literally snapped.
Last year, I broke the toddler bed at my mom's putting N to bed on Christmas Eve by leaning on it just the right way. He ended up sleeping on the mattress. The wood snapped in just the right way that it can't be fixed.
danizee, I went through that with G last month. I hope your LO feels better soon.
Merry Christmas everyone! N was super excited to open presents this morning. We'll be heading to my sister's soon for breakfast and more presents. I hope everyone has a wonderful day with your families.

Good morning!
I had a Christmas miracle this am. C slept for 7.5 hours straight. Life is good. Of course the toddler woke up super early but that can't even phase me after so much sleep. I did have to wake up a pump a little to relieve some pressure and of course baby woke up about 30 minutes later but still all good.
We wussed out and didn't take the kids to mass. H's parents are at mass and when they come home we will eat breakfast and open presents.

Merry Christmas! HL started the day with a poop splosion. I had to wash all the bedding in our room. AG enjoyed her gifts and Mr. P and HL still need to open theirs. Right now it's quiet time and then off to Mr. P's parents.

Merry Christmas!
DD slept in until 9 (went to bed at 10). She loved all her gifts. My family came over for brunch and is just hanging out here for the day. So nice not to have to leave the house.
DH is putting DD down for a nap now. I promised her we'd take her out to play in the snow when she woke up.

Happy holidays everyone. Really enjoying having MIL here and getting to do stuff with the little one. He got a lot of books and clothes from his Nain, and some things from us like a Soapsox shark and an hand pressed ornament kit (which he hated).

We are home. Santa was very good to the boys. N and MH are currently building a Lego police boat. Both boys slept on the way home so bedtime will likely be a little later tonight. Oh well. I'll try to get them back on track tomorrow.
All the guests have gone, DS1 is in bed, and I'm rocking DS2 as we speak. DS1 was absolutely spoiled, I feel like we opened presents all day long. It was a good day, but I'm feeling really worn out. Ready for a warm bath and an early bedtime...and a return to normalcy tomorrow. Thankful DH is off so we can get some things done.
Merry Christmas everyone! We had a great two days with lots of family. Santa was good to DS and DD. Now to find a place for all this new stuff... PDQ - Christmas Eve

adouces06 so much yes to needing to find space for everything. The Great Toy Purge of 2016 is coming soon.
My sister just moved and they are done having kids so she was able to purge all baby toys. I'm jealous. It felt so good to pack them away last year and don't want to get them back out!
Thankfully our take back/donate pile is small. Grandparents didn't go overboard for Christmas this year.

The sibling pics are all adorable. With everything being so hectic and a napping baby, we never got a picture with all three kids together. I did take candid shots to capture the moments. These early years are just a blur!

Lucky. Grandparents and Auntie went waaaay overboard here. Doesn't help that they have 3 sets of grands and 3 sets of greats, in addition to aunts/uncles.
Lord Jesus. We still have Christmas with H's side this coming weekend. So they'll get gifts from each of H's 4 siblings, plus his parents. Yay.
