I'm doing well! I will say I was against home dopplers until I used one and I do love having it. It totally keeps my PgAL brain from going nuts.
Christmas was fun but exhausting, and we made our big announcement so that was exciting!
We are still out of town until Wednesday, and I just want second tri energy to arrive. I hate being so tired and trying to visit family and friends. It's hard.

PgAL brain is in full effect today, and for no real reason. I couldn't find the HB with the Doppler last night, which logically I know means nothing but it still sucks.

I couldn't find mine either. So I went and ate a bunch of food and some sweets and tried again and found it within 30 seconds.

I've been getting much better with the Doppler. At first, I was way too focused on the numbers on the screen. Now I just listen to find the heartbeat before I look at the numbers.

So I haven't been a very productive worker today. Instead of doing the work I'm getting paid to do, I've been looking up a lot of things about pre-term labor and possible interventions. I have a whole list of questions for the MFM - she's out until Friday so I'll talk to her then. I was too overwhelmed on Friday to think of any good questions.
Here's my list so far - think of anything I should add?
1. Could you please explain to me again what you saw on ultrasound? Could this interfere with placental attachment/growth causing placental insufficiency?
2. Am I candidate for p17 progesterone shots? (given to women with a history of pre term labor - helps to keep the uterus from contracting)
3. Would baby aspirin be helpful (I read that it helps to increase blood flow through the placenta and has been given to women at risk for IUGR and placental insufficiency).
4. Steroid shots are given to women in pre-term labor to help strengthen baby's lungs - can these be given prophylactically or only after labor has begun?
5. What will you be looking for in the 16 week ultrasound? What is a good outcome? What would be a concerning finding?

I think that's a good list AmazingTulip. I am getting the p17 shots weekly and a scan every other week starting at 16w because DS was born at 34w. My MFM is in the camp of they can't hurt and there is a lot of evidence that shows they help.
